Support Local By Buying Local At The Local Farm Weekend | Exciting Events And Activities For The Whole Family!

The first installation of The Local Farm Weekend (TLF) will be held at Gardenasia on 4 and 5 June 2022, from 10am to 4pm.

Venue: Gardenasia, 240 Neo Tiew Crescent, Singapore 718898
Date: 4 & 5 Jun 2022
Time: 10am to 4pm

After a two-year hiatus, TLF is resuming physical events. While customers are familiar with its ad-hoc Farmers Markets pre-covid, TLF is hoping to create a regular touchpoint where people in Singapore can show their support for local producers by buying local — this time going beyond the farmers to include other home-grown businesses.
TLF is held every first weekend of the month.

Here is a list of some of the interesting activities and vendors from this first installation of TLF that you and your family can explore and look forward to:

TLF Gelatos: Singapore’s First Gelato Line Made From Locally-Grown Vegetables

Price: $4.50+ (100ml) | $18+ (475 ml)

Did somebody say vegetable… ice cream…? While your first reaction might be to frown in confusion, we promise that you'll be in for a pleasant surprise!

TLF is launching their Gelato line, Singapore’s first ever gelatos made from homegrown vegetables during the first weekend of June. Available in four quirky flavours of Arugula Oat, Kale Coconut, Pineapple Baby Spinach (Sorbet) and Round Spinach flavour, there is something for every type of ice cream lover! Not to mention, all four gelatos are gluten-free, and packed with fibre and prebiotics, making it a great healthy snack!

Round Spinach (in partnership with Yili Farm)

The Round Spinach flavour is perfect for kids with a sweet tooth. This blend promises a familiar yet fresh take on the gelatos we love –– sweet and creamy, masking the spinach taste in each scoop. This is the only flavour with milk and cream, and perfect with waffles and cones for a June holiday treat!

Kale Coconut (in partnership with Sustenir Agriculture)

Coconut shakes are great and popular across all age groups. So why not let your kids have this ice cream when they ask for a snack? After all, the creamy and sweet flavour profile of the coconut mutes the earthy taste of kale –– your kids will never know. With kale flakes in the gelato, each mouth is a reminder of the popular snack, kuih tutu!

Pineapple Baby Spinach (Sorbet) (in partnership with Sustenir Agriculture)

A classic fruity and tangy sorbet, there’s no hint of the baby spinach taste at all! This is a fantastic frozen and healthy snack that your kids will love, especially on a hot day. The fact that it’s both dairy- and gluten-free makes this a great choice for kids with allergies!

Arugula Oat (in partnership with Sustenir Agriculture)

An acquired taste, this flavour is more suitable for the adult taste buds. A piquant gelato combination made from Arugula (also known as rocket, a popular addition to salad mixes) and oat milk, each mouthful packs a punch with its tart and slightly peppery flavour. Not to mention, this flavour is also sugar-free and great for parents looking for a healthy treat!
