Peranakan Stars: Literary Showcase

Enduring Blessings by Ashley Yeo

This installation by Ashley Yeo expresses a deep appreciation for Peranakan craftsmanship, drawing inspiration from textiles and furniture. Rooted in the tradition of auspicious pairings, it features the dragon and phoenix - symbols of balance, power, and harmony. Viewers are invited to explore duality as a dynamic balance where each element complements the other.
Designed in consultation with Raymond Wong, a celebrated kebaya maker and Steward of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
