What is happening?
SGF Hort Show’s display of lush greenery and vivid flora is sure to brighten your day! Bring the family to this complementary event of the ever popular Singapore Garden Festival, the SGF Hort Show will feature an array of beautiful garden landscapes, some of which are constructions of a competition.
What to expect?
Intricate specimens of bonsai, dioramas of fairy-tales crafted using live plants, spring-time blooms, terrariums, vertical gardens, and underwater gardens are just a few of the show’s highlights.
If you’re feeling inspired after strolling through the gardens, check out the MarketPlace offering plants, gardening and horticultural products from 30 stalls!
SGF Horticultural Competition
Check out the plants on display as part of the Horticultural Competition. Over 450 plants were submitted by both professionals and amateurs across 9 categories.
One interesting category is the carnivorous plants, it will probably the first time for many seeing an actual Pitcher Plant.
Magical World of Miniature Settings
Created by National Parks Board and various Institutes of Higher Learning, the Miniature Settings presents scenes from classic fairy tales made using live plants!
You can tell from the details in each display the amount of effort taken to carefully handcraft these props and landscape features. Definitely an eye-opener for both parent and child!
Kids Corner + Other Activities
Aside from eye-catching plants, flowers and gardens, there will also be Kids’ Craft Activities, Storytelling Sessions, sensory play and movie screening. What better way to wrap up the evening than by watching space warfare (i.e., Star Wars) under the vast night sky twinkling with countless stars?
