The SG Culture Pass is a new national initiative designed to bring Singapore's vibrant arts and heritage scene closer to its people. While the credits are given to citizens aged 18 and above, parents can easily use them to create enriching family experiences. The pass offers a fantastic opportunity to introduce children to local culture, history, and creativity.

What is the SG Culture Pass?

As part of the SG60 celebrations, every eligible Singapore Citizen will receive $100 in digital credits automatically on 1 September 2025. There is no need to apply. These credits are valid from 1 Sep 2025 to 31 Dec 2028, and can be used to offset the cost of tickets for a variety of local arts and heritage programmes.

How Parents Can Use the Credits

While the credits are only credited to adults above 18 years old, parents can use the credits to purchase tickets for their children and other family members. This makes it simple to plan a day out that caters to the whole family.

The official website, which launches on 1 September 2025, will list all the eligible events.

Types of Family-Friendly Programmes

The list of eligible events is extensive, with over 400 programmes available initially. Many of these are suitable for children. Parents can expect to find a diverse range of activities, including:

  • Live Performances: Look out for children's musicals, theatre productions, and family-focused concerts like those by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. These can be a magical first introduction to the performing arts.

  • Workshops & Talks: Get hands-on with workshops for painting, pottery, or even more unique activities like balloon splatter art. These workshops are a great way to unleash a child's creativity.

  • Museum & Gallery Visits: Many museums offer ticketed exhibitions and installations that are both educational and engaging for young minds.

  • Heritage Tours: Explore Singapore's rich history through guided tours designed for families. These can transform a simple walk into an exciting treasure hunt for knowledge about our nation's past.

With about 70% of the programmes priced at $50 or less, parents can use their $100 credits for multiple outings. This allows them to explore different art forms and find what truly captivates their children.

A Step-by-Step Guide to Redemption

Redeeming the credits is a straightforward process:

  1. Log In: On or after 1 September 2025, visit the official SG Culture Pass website and log in using your Singpass.

  2. Browse and Select: Browse the list of eligible events and select the one you and your family would like to attend. The website will redirect you to one of the authorised ticketing partners.

  3. Purchase Tickets: On the ticketing partner's website (such as Sistic or Klook), select your tickets.

  4. Use Your Credits: At the payment page, choose "SG Culture Pass" as the payment method. Your available credits will be applied in full to offset the cost. If the ticket price exceeds your remaining credits, you can simply top up the difference with other payment methods like a credit card or PayNow.

The government has also made arrangements to assist seniors who may not be digitally savvy, so parents can help their own parents access and use their credits for family outings.
