Perfect for children aged 4 to 10, come join in the epic missions across continents, learning what it takes to be a true Ranger Buddy while tackling eco challenges around the world!

Who are the Ranger Buddies?

Ranger Buddies are young, everyday heroes who go on missions every day to make a positive change for themselves, others and the Earth.

By joining the Ranger Buddies, children are invited to embark on exciting missions with Ranger Buddies Al & Min where they learn about real-world environmental challenges, build future-ready character strengths and discover how they can make a difference through small, positive actions!

Ranger Buddies Mission Outpost at PLQ Parkside

The Ranger Buddies have set up a mission outpost at PLQ Parkside! Over the next 2 years, children can join Ranger Buddies Al & Min at the outpost and embark on 8 different missions, taking them to 8 destinations across the world.

Through immersive augmented reality (AR) and physical exploration, children will go on an adventure where they'll learn about real-world environmental challenges and how their actions can create positive change! Through these missions, children will realise that even small steps can make them heroes of our Earth! 

Mission 1: Trouble on Everest - From 22 Apr 2025

Starting from 22 April till 5 Jun 2025, the first mission, Trouble on Everest, sees our young heroes answering an urgent SOS from the Himalayas. Navigating through rocky terrains and floodwaters, children will help save a village and wildlife affected by melting glaciers.

Here's what you can expect at Trouble on Everest! 

• Mission Briefing: Scan the mailbox to receive an urgent SOS message from the Himalayas! The villagers are calling for help and it is up to our Ranger Buddies to save them, let's gear up and set off on our mission through the Teleportation Portal! 

• Village Voices: Our curious little heroes may not understand why flooding occurs. Let’s answer their questions by speaking to 3 villagers and learning more about the cause of flooding. Using the Ranger Buddies App, children will find out why and what is happening, and how they can help!

• Red Panda Rescue: Oh no! A Red Panda cub is stranded in a tree after its home was destroyed by flooding. Undaunted by the challenge, Ranger Buddies will carefully navigate the rocky terrain to rescue the cub!

• Octo-picker: In this AR activity, Ranger Buddies will use their Octo-picker to locate and clean up pieces of debris and trash left behind by the flooding.

• Go Green: The mission has ended but the fight against climate change has not! In this hands-on activity, kids will have fun learning about green energy vs. non-renewable energy and how making greener choices can help the Earth!

Through the mission, children will learn more about the impact of climate change, and how they can contribute to a more sustainable future!
