Punggol Town Chinese New Year 2023 Light Up: Family-Friendly Festive Celebrations at One Punggol

One Punggol is hosting its inaugural Chinese New Year Light Up celebrations on Friday, 20 January 2023 from 6pm to 9pm.

As the Lunar New Year approaches, Punggol Town is gearing up to welcome the Year of the Rabbit with a bang. The community hub, One Punggol, is hosting its inaugural Chinese New Year Light Up celebrations on Friday, 20 January 2023 from 6pm to 9pm.

Decoration Light-up Daily

One Punggol will be adorned with colorful street lanterns, brightly lit flower decorations, and a giant rabbit installation for the first time. The festive decorations will be lit up every night from 20 Jan until 5 Feb 2023, providing a colorful and vibrant atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.

Lunar New Year Celebrations

Happening on 20 Jan from 6 pm to 9 pm, around 1,000 residents, young families, and friends will come to soak in the festivities and have fun with their neighbours as they welcome the Lunar New Year. Families will get to enjoy live stage performances such as drums and lion dances, interactive games, and family-friendly activities.

Ramping up the festive cheer, the celebration is aimed at young families as Punggol Town is a vibrant and relatively new neighborhood with a younger population. The event is free and open to the public, and there will be free balloons and snack giveaways such as popcorn and candyfloss (while stocks last).
