A Plush Tribute to Singapore’s Beloved Kopitiam Culture

In celebration of Singapore’s 60th birthday, Marina Square is serving up a hearty dose of nostalgia with the Play Nation Kopi Shop, a unique experiential pop-up that pays tribute to local kopitiam culture. From 18 July to 17 August 2025, head to the Marina Foyer to shop and snap your way through a delightful setup styled like an old-school coffee shop — complete with square tables, colourful stools, and a serving counter where you can “place your order” and watch it being “prepared” — from the pouring of kopi to the making of toast.

Limited Edition Plushies Inspired by Local Breakfast Favourites

The highlight of the pop-up is the exclusive Kopi & Toast plush collection – eight irresistibly huggable characters inspired by Singapore’s iconic breakfast staples:

  • Kopi Kettle ($16.90) – A vintage porcelain pot with a long spout for pulling the smoothest kopi brew

  • Kopi Cup ($19.90): A matching vintage coffee cup that gives a happy boost to power through the day

  • Kaya Butter Toast ($15.90): Two slices of bread, lightly toasted and jam-packed with butter, kaya and lots of love

  • Hard Boiled Egg ($14.90): An egg-stra cute egg to crack open some cuddles

  • Soft Boiled Eggs ($12.90): A perfect pair of runny soft-boiled eggs served on a saucer; sunshine on a plate!

  • Soy Sauce Bottle & Pepper Bottle ($14.90 each): A saucy duo of soy sauce and pepper shakers that will add spice to your life, best bought as a pair

  • Teh Bing Tote Bag ($24.90) – Perfect for dabao-ing your plush haul

Curated Plush Sets for Every Kind of Fan

Bring home one or more of these adorable plushies, or a collection of curated sets such as:
