This experience features interactive facade projections and a dynamic art display, created by artists Clare Chong, Jennifer O’Connor, Taufiq Hidayat, Jaymi McManus, and Kin Leonn. Inspired by an unfinished beaded panel on display at the Peranakan Museum, this work celebrates the intricate artistry and diverse perspectives of Peranakan communities. It features a facade projection and art display that invites visitors to reimagine the panel while contemplating the meditative practice of bead working.
Interact with the cloth-like layered visuals to explore the texture and complexity of beaded art and transform it through touch and gesture. Collaborate with others to create a unified, full-scale artwork that weaves intricate threads and beads into a cohesive piece.
