Get ready to step into a tropical wonderland at Paradise Island, happening along Armenian Street from 22 August to 6 September 2025. As part of the much-anticipated Singapore Night Festival 2025, this vibrant experience invites you to immerse yourself in art, culture, food, music, and community spirit — all inspired by the unique heritage of the Peranakan Museum.

What to Expect at Paradise Island

From glowing art installations to soulful performances and island-inspired treats, there’s something magical waiting for you at every corner of Armenian Street. Here are the highlights you shouldn’t miss:

Skygazers: Dreaming into the Past and Future

Walk through a luminous three-layer installation by Space Objekt x Reza Hasni, where Peranakan patterns meet cosmic dreams. This stunning light artwork invites you to look up, reflect on heritage, and imagine new horizons.

Isle Be Listening

Step into a mystical sanctuary where sacred artefacts guide you through personal messages and collective healing. Choose the artefact that speaks to you and embark on a journey of discovery with your soothsayer.

Sunset Groove

As the sun sets, feel the rhythms of the island through live performances by The Samrah Club, rhyu, Suara Sayang, and the energetic New Stream Brass Band. Expect a lively mix of tradition, modern sounds, and Peranakan-inspired music.

Golden Sunset Way

Foodies, this is your paradise! Indulge in fusion island delights such as lamb rendang dosa from MahaCo Dosa Bar, Peranakan-Arabian twist gelato from Papitto, and refreshing kombucha from Moon Juice. 

You’ll also find unique treasures from Arab-Peranakan culture, alongside soulful wellness experiences and even tarot readings from The Tarot Bibik.

Drop-in Experiences & Workshops

Paradise Island isn’t just about watching performances and exploring art — you can also roll up your sleeves and join interactive workshops that bring culture and creativity to life. Perfect for both adults and kids, these drop-in sessions let you bring home a keepsake of memories.

Arabic Attar Perfumery Workshop

Discover the art of Arabic attar with the Arab Network @ Singapore! Join Mr Ali Alhadi to explore its rich history and craft your own signature scent to take home. A fragrant journey awaits!

Arab Peranakan Beading Workshop: Kachop Embroidery

Date: Saturday, 23 August | 5pm – 6.30pm

Discover sulam kahchop, a matriarchal craft of the Arab Peranakan community. Skilled artisans from the community share their journey of preserving this intricate embroidery tradition, passed down through generations of wedding finery. Learn to embroider and create your own kachop design.

Fun with Jawi Calligraphy

Date: Friday & Sunday, 22–23 August | 7.30pm–10.30pm
Venue: Lobby, Level 1
Admission: Free 

Explore the graceful art of Jawi calligraphy in this drop-in craft session with Hazrin Mohamad. Using objects from the Peranakan Museum as inspiration, learn to write beautiful Jawi characters in this engaging experience.

Charm Paradise: Personalised bracelet drop-in craft

Date: Friday & Saturday, 29–30 August | 7pm–10.30pm
