Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre Launches Exciting New Programmes to Make Learning Mandarin Fun for Kids This October and November

The Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre will be offering fun, music-based Mandarin classes on weekend afternoons alongside free, student-led lessons on Saturday mornings.

New Kids Programmes by Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre

As part of its efforts to promote Singapore Chinese culture, the Singapore Chinese Culture Centre (SCCC) has partnered with local arts group Young People’s Performing Arts Ensemble (YPPAE) and student group Project Litup to launch two new programmes that seek to facilitate greater public appreciation of Mandarin.

Let’s take a closer look at these programmes:

I Can Sing! by Young People’s Performing Arts Ensemble

Children can learn Mandarin and Chinese values from the Young People’s Performing Arts Ensemble, a Mandarin theatre performing arts company, who will be teaching using songbooks published by them.

I Can Sing! (5 to 7 Years Old)

Students from Project Litup will teach children a variety of topics, including stories like Journey to the West, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and Hua Mulan, as well as Chinese chess and Chinese musical instruments.
