LEGO Monkie Kid is the first ever LEGO theme to be inspired by a Chinese legend and is rooted firmly in the country’s culture and values.
The LEGO Group has announced the launch of its newest theme, LEGO Monkie Kid, which sees the legend of Monkey King from the classic tale, Journey to the West re-imagined in an animated mini movie and TV series, as well as in eight exciting play sets.

LEGO Monkie Kid will launch worldwide on 16 May 2020 on LEGO.com, in LEGO Brand Retail Stores, LEGO Certified Stores, LEGOLAND and LEGOLAND Discovery Centers with early access for Singapore from 15 May 2020 in LEGO Certified Stores only.
Local broadcasting station Mediacorp will also be airing the Monkie Kid TV animated content on Channel 5 and Channel 8 this year.
