Norwegian Cultural Center brings the story of Karius and Baktus, a¬†well-known family-friendly pedagogical story, loved by generations of Scandinavians,¬†to Singapore for¬†the first time. ‚ÄúKarius and Baktus‚ÄĚ has revolutionised dental health since 1949 humorously and innovatively, highlighting the importance of dental health from a young age through play and the arts.¬†

The Story

Follow the story of the two infamous Norwegian tooth trolls, Karius and Baktus! The two small tooth trolls live inside the teeth of a boy named Jens. They live a good life, made even better when Jens eats white bread with syrup and fails to brush his teeth afterwards. Eventually their homes, the cavities, are destroyed by a dentist and they are rinsed out of Jens’ mouth through proper dental care.
