Catch Punggolâs First-Ever Japanese Pop-Culture performances

Throughout the weekend, the festival stage will come alive with Punggolâs first-ever Japanese pop-culture performances, showcasing a vibrant mix of music and dance. Look forward to the dynamic vocals of ç±ć± (Ai Shou), an a Cappella group bringing Japanese hits and anime songs to life with rich harmonies and flair. Mikazuki, known for their high-energy J-pop and anisong-inspired choreography, and KotoKottoN, a local ensemble blending traditional koto melodies with a modern J-pop twist, will also take the stage, adding a unique blend of rhythm, tradition, and movement to the festivities.
The programme also features the Japanese Association Singaporeâs Wadaiko Group, whose exhilarating Taiko drum performances deliver a heart-thumping showcase of both traditional and contemporary rhythms. Adding to the experience is the Japanese Folk Dance (Minyo) Group, presenting graceful regional dances through vibrant costumes and expressive gestures â offering a captivating glimpse into the heart and soul of Japan.
Even student bands from NUS and NTU are also joining in and complete the line-up with tunes ranging from nostalgic Vocaloid classics to the latest anisong hits. Together with One Punggolâs community partners, they will bring the sights, sounds, and spirit of Japanese youth culture to the heartlands.
