Wisma Geylang Serai (WGS) presents Family Fiesta from now till 22 June 2025, a school holiday initiative featuring a two-week schedule of family-oriented activities at Persada Budaya. The programme includes daily entertainment such as bouncy castles, kiddy rides, movie screenings, and weekend highlights including craft booths, live performances, and interactive activities for children.

What to Expect at Family Fiesta 

More than just a fun activity, the initiative aims to offer a communal, family-friendly space where children and parents can participate in shared experiences during the school break. Activities are designed to encourage creative play and community engagement, with specific highlights on Sundays including performances, snack stalls, and themed programming.

Throughout June, bring the kids out to Wisma Geylang Serai and enjoy various exciting activities to spend over the weekend, starting from 11am to 9pm daily. Here are the programme line-up you can look forward to:

1. Activity: Bouncy castles, kiddy rides, and movie screenings

2. Activity: Arts and crafts booths

3. Activity: Stage performances and snack stalls

4. Activity: Magic show and colouring competition

5. Activity: Geylang Serai Merchant Association Bazaar – heritage snacks, crafts & fashion

From 18 to 22 June, the Geylang Serai Merchant Association Bazaar will bring extra buzz to the area with a throwback mix of heritage snacks, crafts, and fashion. It’s a fun way to relive the charm of the old Geylang Serai market while showing some love and support to local merchants and artisans.

Every weekend in June will begin with Gerak-Gerak Geylang, a recharged community fitness programme held every Saturday and Sunday at 9am. Designed to promote active living with a kampung spirit, the sessions are a fun, accessible way for all generations to get moving together.

Later on at noon, Riuh Seni will transform the outdoor spaces of WGS into intimate performance stages. Taking place every Saturday and Sunday at 12pm, Persada Budaya showcases a range of Malay performing arts—from the deeply traditional to the creatively reimagined—highlighting the richness of expression within the community’s cultural DNA.

And on Saturday, 21 June, music lovers can gather for Muzikita – Warisan Kita, a special edition of WGS’s monthly community concert series. Running from 8pm to 9.30pm at Persada Budaya, this performance showcases Singapore’s traditional Malay musical forms alongside new interpretations—highlighting the continuity and creativity of the genre.
