Are you planning to have a trip to Japan? The Japan Rail Fair 2026 returns from 15 to 17 October, bringing Japanese culture, food, travel inspiration and interactive activities to Urban Park at Guoco Tower.

The free three-day Japan travel event focuses on lesser-known destinations across Eastern Japan, including regions from Kanto to Tohoku. You can explore 17 interactive booths, collect stamps, sample regional food and drinks, watch cultural performances and even try a Japanese train simulator. Here are some of the things to look out for at The Japan Rail Fair 2026.

Explore 17 Interactive Japan-Themed Booths

Take a little trip around Japan without leaving Singapore as you explore 17 interactive booths featuring destinations, food, drinks, railway journeys and unique travel experiences. Discover lesser-known regions such as Tohoku, Hakodate, San'in, Izu Peninsula and Yamaguchi and Kanagawa or pick up ideas for your next ski trip, rail adventure, hotel stay or cruise.

Foodies can also look forward to Japanese sake tastings, Hokkaido dairy products and fresh Japanese pears, while travel enthusiasts can discover railway routes, ski resorts and cruise journeys across Japan. New exhibitors this year include Hakodate City, San'in, Sendai Tohoku, Tokyu Group, Try and Discover Japan by SMRJ, and Prestige by Chan Brothers & ASUKA CRUISES.

Go Stamp Hunting Around The Fair

If collecting stamps is your thing, there are two stamp activities to check out! The Eki Stamp Rally is back, with six unique stamps to collect across designated zones at the 17 booths. Complete the rally to qualify for the Daily Lucky Draw at 7pm, with prizes including rail passes, hotel stays and a luxury cruise voyage for two onboard ASUKA III.

You can also try the Layered Stamp Trail, where you collect four stamps across four stations. Each stamp reveals another layer of a hidden illustration. 

Over the three days, 300 goodie bags will be given away to Eki Stamp Rally participants. Each bag comes with a limited-edition Event Stamp Passbook, which lets you collect up to 18 stamps across the fair. The passbook is also available to purchase at the fair for $3.

Create a Giant Artwork Together

A new activity at the Japan Rail Fair 2026, the Community Puzzle Wall lets you contribute to one large artwork created by visitors throughout the event. The wall measures approximately 5m by 2.5m and consists of more than 300 individual puzzle tiles!

Each day, the first 100 eligible Lucky Draw participants will get the chance to contribute a piece to the artwork.

Sample Japanese Food & Drinks

A trip to Japan wouldn't be complete without trying some of its regional flavours! At the fair, you can try fresh Japanese pears from JR Fruits Park Sendai ARAHAMA, harvested from the park's own orchard just days before the event.

Don't missed out the chance to try the wasabi-flavoured snacks from the Izu Peninsula, regional snacks from Tohoku, and also sake and fugu from Yamaguchi Prefecture. Returning exhibitors HINEMOS and YOTSUBA MILK PRODUCTS will also showcase Japanese sake and Hokkaido dairy products respectively.

Catch Live Performances & Try Fun Activities

There’s plenty happening on stage for visitors of all ages, from Suzume Odori (Sparrow Dance) and interactive Bon Odori performances to travel quizzes, mascot meet-and-greets and a live snow-sports demonstration.

Little train enthusiasts can also take the controls of the JR EAST Train Simulator, complete with live footage and authentic train sounds to make the experience feel more realistic. Meanwhile, Yamaguchi Prefecture will showcase its culture through a lively Lohei demonstration featuring fugu sashimi, with visitors invited to join the toss for happiness and prosperity.

Don’t Miss the Opening-Day Giveaways

If you’re planning to visit on the first day, there will be a special giveaway on 15 October. Head to the stage at 11am or 3pm for a chance to receive Hirosaki City apple pie and a Hakodate City local snack.
