In support of SG Clean Day on 13 May 2023, sweeping of selected open areas at participating premises will cease from 6am to 12 midnight - and you will come and help out instead!

The Public Hygiene Council

The Public Hygiene Council (PHC) was formed in 2011 to help raise standards of hygiene and cleanliness in Singapore. The Council, comprising representatives from public and private sectors, galvanises and leads ground-up community and industry initiatives to help keep Singapore clean. The PHC also complements the government's education and enforcement efforts to maintain high standards of personal and public cleanliness and hygiene

The council organises the quarterly SG Clean Day and they will attempt to break a world record on the next SG Clean Day on 13 May 2023

Community Record-Breaking Effort On 13 May

Join the Public Hygiene Council (PHC) in keeping Singapore clean at the upcoming SG Clean Day Largest Clean-Up! Be part of this historical moment as we collectively set an entry in the Singapore Book of Records for the greatest number of people participating in an island-wide clean-up.

Through this community record-breaking effort, the PHC seeks to start new conversations with Singapore residents on what it means to care for one’s living spaces beyond the four walls of our homes. It also aims to groom a generation of compassionate youths to step up and be the champions in keeping Singapore clean.

What Can You Expect

Admission is free and programme highlights include:

  • Meet your favourite YES933 DJ, Jeff Goh
  • Litter-picking
  • Fringe activities
  • Meet & Greet with the mascots, Supermons —you can strike a pose with Toilemon, shake hands with Trashemon or even give Trayremon a big hug for the family album!

The fun doesn’t stop after the clean-up. Take on the hygiene-themed challenges and stand to redeem limited-edition Supermons’ gifts such as picnic mats, hats, lanyards, handkerchiefs, plushies, comic books and many more.
