It’s time to experience rugby-themed entertainment, culinary pop-ups, and family-friendly activities in a vibrant two-day celebration at The Dempsey PALATE: Pitchside Plates on 31 Jan and 1 Feb 2026. This event is open to the public with free admission.

What To Do at The Dempsey PALATE: Pitchside Plates

Taking place at Dempsey Hill, the event set against the lush greenery and heritage barracks between Blocks 8 and 9 and the precinct will come alive with international rugby legends, creative workshops, rugby-themed games, live community music, and food offerings from some of Singapore’s most celebrated culinary names. 

Meet International Rugby Stars

Get up close with Rugby legends, Alicia Lucas (née Quirk) and Danny Care, on Saturday evening at The Dempsey PALATE: Pitchside Plates, a rare opportunity for fans to interact with two of the sport’s most accomplished figures.

Alicia Lucas (née Quirk), raised in Wagga Wagga, Australia, was a key member of Australia’s gold medal-winning Rugby Sevens team at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and a Commonwealth Games silver medallist. Danny Care, born in Leeds, represented England at the Rugby World Cup in 2015 and 2023 and won a silver medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

Eat Your Way Through Dempsey’s Best

As you explore the precinct, you can fuel up with pop-up offerings from some of Dempsey Hill’s most loved names, including Burnt Ends, Margarita’s, Park Bench Deli x The Pantry, RedDot BrewHouse, and the Museum of Ice Cream. Whether you’re craving savoury bites, refreshing drinks, or sweet treats, there’s something to keep you coming back for more.

A Weekend Full of Fun at Dempsey Hill

Across the weekend, morning and evening sessions are designed for families, rugby fans, food lovers and experience seekers. From rugby-themed games and balloon sculpting to face and hand painting, the activities are designed to be playful, relaxed, and easy to join. 

Creative workshops by the Museum of Ice Cream and Kids Space invite kids to get hands-on with crafts inspired by desserts and rugby themes, while families can enjoy live community jams by Ann Siang Sounds on 31 Jan from 5 – 8pm.

Dessert Squishy Painting Workshops by the Museum of Ice Cream: Paint, personalise, and bring home a dessert-inspired squishy in this hands-on creative workshop that blends play with art. Priced at SGD10 per pax.

Rugby-inspired Crafts by Kids Space: Take the kids to get hands-on with rugby-inspired crafts, making mini medals, building bobble-head rugby players, and personalising their own rugby-themed pouches. Priced at SGD20 per pax.
