This instructor-led programme by Aeroviation will have you and your child experience flying on a Cessna 172 simulator. For the very first time, Future Vet Kids Camp will come to Singapore from 13-17 October, in partnership with United World College (East). This exciting holiday day-camp is designed to spark camper’s curiosity about the world of animals and veterinary science, while also encouraging responsible pet ownership and a deeper appreciation for all creatures big and small.
Over the course of five days, campers aged 8-19 will be immersed in fun, interactive experiences that combine learning with adventure. The program features engaging workshops, up-close encounters with animals, and exclusive behind-the-scenes visits to wildlife rescues, local farms, animal rehabilitation centres, and even the Mandai Zoo’s research facilities for the older participants.
Campers will have the chance to learn from veterinarian Dr. Audrey Shen (from Bondi Vet), a visiting zoologist from Australia and a local biologist and science educator, who will bring a uniquely Singaporean perspective to the program while sparking curiosity in young minds. Guest speakers will also be presenting at camp headquarters, with some even bringing animals along, using them to demonstrate real-world practices and give campers meaningful, hands-on opportunities to learn and interact.
By the end of the week, campers will have gained valuable insights into veterinary science and animal care, developed a better understanding of the many careers connected to this field, and discovered new ways to connect with the natural world around them.
