At the Singapore-Global Firefighters and Paramedics Challenge (SGFPC), you will be able to witness emergency responders and community partners competing in adrenaline-pumping challenges across three different categories—International, Singapore and Public categories.

The Brunei Fire and Rescue Department, Macau Fire Services, Vietnam Fire and Rescue Police Department, and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, Australia, are just some of the international teams that will be taking part in the SGFPC.

Themed ‘A Nation of Lifesavers: Transforming as One’, this year’s SGFPC focuses on strengthening local and international partnerships amongst emergency responders and Singapore’s community to be ever-ready for future operational needs.

Held for just one day, The I’mable Gift Market celebrates the craftsmanship of people of all abilities. Aside from shopping for a good cause at the market where you’ll be able to find an array of handmade gifts, ranging from miniature jewelry to hand-bound journals, each with its own special story, you will also be able to take part in workshops for just $5 per person and enjoy fringe activities like balloon sculpting and face painting.

Additionally, when you purchase more than $20, you will receive free gift wrapping service and sticker.

This year the Singapore Media Festival returns for the sixth edition and brings with it a slew of family-friendly programs, allowing you to both celebrate the diverse talents and varied content that Asia has to offer.

A new edition to this year’s festival is the Festival Village at Armenian Street. Offering an array of workshops and masterclasses, performance and storytelling session, and scores of film screenings, including Naoko Ogigami’s comedy-drama Rent-a-Cat, among others.

4. Celebrate Grandparents’ Day at National Museum of Singapore!

Bring your little ones, ah gong and ah ma to the National Museum of Singapore this Saturday to celebrate Grandparents’ Day. There’s an array of thing you can do to give them an opportunity to shower your little tots with love as well as to show your thanks.

Enjoy ocarina performance led by seniors, storytelling sessions, film screenings, character tours, and craft showcase by seniors. Craft a card for your grandparents, take a keepsake photo at the Family Photobooth and share stories of your treasured toys at the “What’s Your Toy Story” booth.

Additionally, you can not only immerse yourself in a percussion performance by pre-schoolers from My First Skool and seniors from NTUC Health, you can also pick up an instrument and join in the drumming circle together with ah gong and ah ma!

Please note that some of the activities require pre-registration.
