Venture to the Northernmost tip of Singapore and you’ll find Woodlands Waterfront Park, a park that boasts great views of Johor Bahru! We love how relaxed we felt the minute we arrived; there’s just something about a gorgeous sea view and the sound of waves that does wonders for the soul.

Our daughter’s eyes light up whenever we visit a new playground, so of course we had to check the one at Woodlands Waterfront Park out! It just reopened to the public in May 2026, with lots of fun in store.

Go on a quest at the Amazon structure

An adventure is calling, and it has your little explorer’s name on it!

They can clamber up and down, as well as test their climbing skills. The climbing options aren’t too difficult, and not that high off the ground as well (with the exception of the monkey bars) — making them easy for kids to play with.

A curvy slide awaits at the end. We especially liked how parts of the slide are transparent, allowing us to wave to our kids as they zoom down!

Tiny scouts aren’t forgotten either, with a section dedicated entirely to the younger ones. Everything here is scaled down in size, right down to a smaller slide.

There’s a little image of an ant’s nest on one side of the play structure — however, we only wish it was placed closer to the ground so children can have a looksee on their own. Nevertheless, it provided a nice platform to engage our daughter in a conversation about ants and how they forage for food.

Or, how about taking to the high seas?

The playground has a second ship-themed play structure, which seems to be geared more towards the younger kids.

There are lots of climbing opportunities here too, as well as a cute interactive board where kids are tasked to help starfish get from one end to another.

There’s just so much to play with!

Other play equipment at the playground includes a merry-go-round, seesaws, and a trampoline.

Take your pick from different kinds of swings, such as the classic ones, a round disk one (that fits our daughter’s entire body!), as well as a tandem one that you can enjoy together with your little one.

Older kids will also get a kick from two tall climbing pyramids. How fast can they make it to the top?

End off with a relaxing stroll along the jetty

Bet you didn’t know that this 400-metre-long jetty is the longest recreational jetty in Singapore! Enjoy splendid views of the sea and Johor Bahru. Do note that fishing is prohibited here.

For dinner, head to the Rasa Istimewa restaurant for a zichar feast.

What to bring

Pack sunblock and a hat if you’re planning to visit the park in the afternoon. Otherwise, it’s super cooling in the evening! The jetty is wide enough for strollers; our daughter enjoyed scootering up and down its length.

Our experience

We recommend arriving in the early evening, staying for the sunset, and ending the day with a meal at the restaurant. We appreciated how there are toilets within easy reach as well, and can be easily found at the entrance of the park.

Location

Woodlands Waterfront Park is located along Admiralty Road West. There is ample parking right by the entrance, and the park can be reached in 12 minutes on foot from the Woodlands North MRT station.
