TRIFECTA has evolved into a sports, wellness and lifestyle destination in Orchard Road. We visited with our kids, who tried snowboarding while we explored the refreshed space and its range of facilities.

Venue: TRIFECTA Singapore, 10A Exeter Road, Singapore 239958 (next to Somerset MRT)
Opening Hours: Open daily; timings vary by activity
Admission: Free entry to general lifestyle and viewing areas; class and session prices vary

Looking for something a little different from the usual family outing? TRIFECTA Singapore is worth a look.

Located beside Somerset MRT, TRIFECTA has grown from its original boardsports concept into a broader sports, wellness and lifestyle destination, bringing together activities, fitness, food, shopping and community spaces under one roof.

We visited with our kids, with snowboarding being the main activity they tried, while we explored the rest of the refreshed space.

A New Chapter for TRIFECTA

Since opening in 2023, TRIFECTA has become a destination for surfing, snowboarding, skiing and skating in the heart of Orchard Road.

Its latest refresh expands the offering with upgraded sports infrastructure, new concepts and more spaces for visitors to hang out before or after their activities.

For families, this makes TRIFECTA more than somewhere to turn up for a single activity. There are different experiences to discover, whether you're here to get active, watch the action, grab a bite or simply hang out.

Snowboarding in the Heart of Orchard Road

TRIFECTA Snowboard & Ski School

The highlight of our visit was the TRIFECTA Snowboard & Ski School, where our two older boys, aged 9 and 7, got to try snowboarding for the first time. Our youngest, who is 4, was too young to participate.

The boys were on the extended freestyle slope, which is designed with beginners in mind. It gave them a chance to get familiar with the snowboard, practise their balance and work on their movements on the slope. There were definitely a few wobbly moments at the start, but seeing them gradually get more comfortable on the board was part of the fun!

According to TRIFECTA's current class information, Kids Classes are for ages 5–10, while Adult Classes are for ages 11 and above, with a minimum height of 1.2m. Participants under 18 also need a parent or legal guardian to sign the waiver before their first session.

Another plus is that standard snowboarding gear rental is complimentary at TRIFECTA Singapore, so participants can use the provided equipment without needing to bring their own.

Sessions run for one hour, with classes starting from $60.

For those looking to progress beyond the beginner experience, TRIFECTA also has ski and snowboard simulators for training and technique development. Our kids didn't try these during our visit, but they offer another option for more experienced riders.

For our boys, the biggest takeaway was simply getting to experience snowboarding for the first time, without having to wait for our next overseas trip.

Learning to Surf, Minus the Ocean

TRIFECTA Surf Club

The TRIFECTA Surf Club is home to Southeast Asia's biggest Citywave Surf Pool, offering a continuous stationary wave for those looking to learn or improve their surfing skills without heading to the beach.

We didn't try the surf pool during our visit, but it's one of the facilities we'd be keen to come back and experience.

For families considering a surf session, riders must be at least 8 years old, 120cm tall and weigh at least 30kg. Most classes and open sessions run for one hour, while the Surf Orientation Class is 45 minutes. Classes start from $60.

Standard item rentals are free of charge, while rental fees apply for the performance and premium range.

There's More to Explore

TRIFECTA isn't just about snowboarding and surfing. There are several other sports, wellness and lifestyle spaces around the venue.

Pickle & Bones

Pickle & Bones is a sheltered pickleball court and social group that brings a more casual, community-focused approach to the sport.

The Bowl

For skating enthusiasts, The Bowl at TRIFECTA has been refreshed with more comfortable seating, making it a spot to watch the action, hang out and take in community events.

Reva Social Wellness

Reva Social Wellness offers a semi-outdoor Finnish sauna, ice baths and hot pools, with experiences centred around recovery and contrast therapy.

The Jungle Gym

The Jungle Gym is a free-to-use outdoor fitness corner for functional training and bodyweight conditioning, planned to open later this year.

Together, these spaces give TRIFECTA a more varied feel, with options beyond the main sports activities for visitors to explore, relax and spend time at the venue.

Take a Break at Riders' Lounge

After exploring the sports facilities, we checked out the TRIFECTA Riders' Lounge, which offers a more relaxed side of the destination.

Food, music and art come together here, making it more than somewhere to simply grab a quick bite. The lounge is anchored by a menu by Yeast Side, a Gallery by Leica and a Vinyl Bar by JBL.

There's also a new pet-friendly alfresco dining area, giving families and groups more room to sit and unwind.

We liked that there are spaces like this within TRIFECTA, so the outing doesn't have to end once the kids finish their activity.

Shop Surf & Snow Gear at The Ride Side

If you're getting into surfing or snow sports, The Ride Side is another stop worth checking out at TRIFECTA.

Singapore's leading ski-snowboard travel and surf store brings a range of surf and snow gear, apparel and equipment, with brands including BURTON, 686, K2, OAKLEY and GENTEMSTICK, among others.

Located within TRIFECTA, it's a convenient place to browse gear before or after trying out the venue's surf and snow facilities — or to pick up what you need before your next adventure.

Our Take

For our family, snowboarding was definitely the highlight of our TRIFECTA visit.

Our boys had a great time trying something completely new, and it was fun watching them find their balance and gradually get more comfortable on the board. At the same time, we liked that there was more to TRIFECTA than the activity itself — from the Riders’ Lounge and The Ride Side to the different sports and wellness spaces around the venue.

We didn't get to try everything on this visit, including the surf pool and the ski and snowboard simulators. But that's part of what makes TRIFECTA interesting: there's plenty to discover, whether you're here to get active, try a new sport, grab a bite, shop or simply hang out.

For families with kids who enjoy trying new things, especially older children who are curious about surfing or snow sports, TRIFECTA offers a pretty unique experience right in the heart of Orchard Road.

BYKidO Pro-Tip: Planning a visit? We recommend checking the session timings, age requirements and booking details for your chosen activity before heading down.

And if you're not participating in an activity, you can still explore the various lifestyle and viewing areas around TRIFECTA while soaking up the atmosphere.
