Located at Level 4 of Westgate Shopping Mall, Wonderland @ Westgate is one of the first thematic playgrounds located within a mall! It offers 3 main sections, including a toddlers area for 2 to 5 years old, a older kids area for 5 to 12 years old, and a water play area. The best part is that it is free!
*Note: when we visited in Jan 2024, the water play area did not seem to be working.
Toddlers Area - Giant Lady Bug, Dragonfly and Frog!
As you enter the Toddlers area, you will immediately notice the giant insect and animal structures for your kids to climb, jump, walk, roll all around it! Suitable for 2 to 5 years old, the younger ones may require help when navigating these structures!
In the middle of the play area, there is a bunch of blue flowerbells engraved with images of ladybugs. Tap on the ladybug and the flowerbells will respond with music and light. Something that might just amaze the kids!
There are also ample seating around that also fits the nature theme too!
Older Kids Section - Treehouse and Giant Plant Pot
Heading to the older kids section for 5 to 12 year olds, you will find a Treehouse and Giant Plant Pot with nets and climbing structures for them to conquer! The highlight of this section is the 10-metre tall treehouse where little ones can make their way up using the climbing nets and other obstacles, and take the slide all the way down to the bottom (and repeat)!

Connected to the treehouse is a smaller play area via a suspension bridge where kids can use to enjoy another area with lots of sliding, climbing and swinging.
The treehouse is quite massive and difficult to keep your kid in sight. If you want your kids to be easily visible, you should proceed to the gigantic "broken" flowerpot. Here the kids can enjoy the same climbing and jumping with a smaller slide too!
Water Play Area
For those looking to cool off, it is time for your kids to change into their swimsuits and proceed to the Water Play Area.
In 2017, the watering can will be splashing water with water buckets all around to keep the little ones excited in this small water zone. In our last visit in 2024, the water play area does not seem to be working any more - do take note and don't be disappointed when you visit.

During our visit to the playground in Jan 2024, we felt that the playground was a little old and may require some sprucing up. The colours of the giant insects have faded and the treehouse felt more like a ghostly than welcoming. Also the water play area seemed to have been discontinued.
That being said, we continued to see children having fun at the toddlers and older kids area, and they didn't seem to mind the state of the play area. We also didn't notice any safety hazard during our visit - we feel it basically requires a new coat of paint and cleaning up before it looks brand new again.
Because of the size of the play area and the tall elements involved, we would still recommend a visit if you are in the area or just need somewhere for the kids to play for free!

Wonderland @ Westgate is located at Level 4 of Westgate Shopping Centre. It is open from 10 am to 10 pm.
For those looking for more play time in the mall, you may also wish to visit Yooland, a futuristic-themed playground at Level 3. This is a paid indoor playground that opened in Feb 2024.
