Did you know that thereās a hidden mini road safety park nestled under the tracks in Ang Mo Kio? We have fond memories of East Coast Parkās road safety park, and couldnāt wait to check it out!
Get your bicycles or scooters ready

Consisting of a figure-of-eight track, the playspace is quite small. However, we like that itās airy and entirely sheltered, making it great for play no matter the weather.Ā

Adding to the realistic factor, the road even comes with traffic lights, road signs, and pedestrian crossings. Take turns to role play as motorists and pedestrians ā itās a great opportunity to teach the little ones about traffic rules and road safety.
Enjoy some pretend play at the little shop

Youāll find a little shop structure in the middle of one end of the road.Ā

We had fun pretending to sell pizzas and ice cream⦠anything goes!Ā

The shop is also decorated with various interactive games, adding an extra element of fun. Some of it is educational as well, such as a cute abacus for kids.Ā
Donāt forget to check out the little height chart, too. Our daughter couldnāt believe that she was once so small; time really flies!

We especially like the part about sign language. We loved that we could introduce our four-year-old daughter to the concept, and learn together with her.Ā

We spy with our little eye⦠a pair of binoculars! Unfortunately, thereās not much to see as it simply points at the underside of the MRT tracks, but curious kids might enjoy giving it a go.
Our experience

If the kids need a little more wiggle room, there are two playgrounds within a five-minute walk from the mini road safety park. Thereās a fitness corner for parents as well.
What to bring
A water bottle will be good! The playground is under shelter, so no hat or sunscreen is necessary.Ā
Location
