No matter rain or shine, there is one thing you can always count on for a fun time with your little ones. No, I’m not talking about your electronic devices. I’m talking about indoor playgrounds.Β 

Here are 7 indoor playgrounds in Taipei to explore with your kids, regardless of the weather! Oh and don’t forget to pack a pair of socks for yourself and your little ones!

1. Take A Breath

The highlight of the Take A Breath indoor playground has got to be the small maze within a honeycomb. Crawling and climbing through it, little ones will be able to reach the playhouse on the second floor, from where they can access a crocheted tree. When they’ve had enough of hanging out at the treehouse, they can climb a flight of stairs down to swim in a ball pit.

Additionally, Take A Breath also has a selection of picture books and an assortment of toys in storage bins (and outside of it), ranging pretend playsets to building blocks.

2. Hape Play Centre Β

Amongst the lot of indoor playgrounds in Taipei Living Mall is Hape Playcentre. Hape are the producers of eco-friendly wooden toys and you can find a variety of Hape toys at the Hape indoor playgrounds which little ones are free to play with.

The main feature is a large white sand play area with sand toys, climbing structures and toys. Aside from that, there are also wooden kitchen sets, puzzles, train sets, building toys, dollhouses, and pretend play equipment among others.

3. The Little Rock

The Little Rock is a rock climbing gym where you can free climb or take classes together with your young ones. Adults and kids over 4 can free climb or sign up for classes, shoes will be provided. If you want to introduce rock climbing to tots below 4 years old, you can, however, do remember to bring your own shoes as they will not be provided.

Another playground in the Taipei Living Mall is FEBO. Located on the sixth floor, you’ll find plenty of climbing and crawling areas, slides, push cars, ball pit, and a cassia pit with mini slide and toys, at FEBO, a jungle-themed indoor playground. Β

5. Kidsburgh

Kidsburgh is located on the seventh floor of the Taipei Living Mall. This ocean-themed indoor playground features slides that look like an Octopus’ tentacles, a huge ball pit, kitchen sets, building blocks, a water-less pond with lifeless fishes, cannons that shoot foam balls, a dolphin that goes round and round, and platforms for climbing, among other things.

SPARC is a large indoor playground offering toddlers a variety of play elements to explore. There is a role play area where little ones can go grocery shopping, a physical play area which features a large ball pit, a sensory play area, which has its own ball pit, albeit a smaller one, a cognitive play area with building blocks, a cooking studio, and much more.

Located near the Miramar Shopping Mall, which bears a towering Ferris Wheel on its rooftop, is Fun-Kid-Fun. The sprawling indoor playground has a sizeable Indoor Sandbox featuring a mini hill with climbing knobs, slide, playhouse and suspension bridge surrounded by soft sand. They also have giant blocks, a large mushroom and rows of shops for pretend-play. For the little ones below 2 years, there is a baby playpen to keep them entertained.
