WonderBot 2.0: New AI Companion Turning Heritage into Play at Children’s Museum Singapore

Discover a smarter way to play as WonderBot 2.0 brings interactive AI and gamified missions to Children’s Museum Singapore, creating a personalised learning adventure for every child.

If you are looking for a fresh reason to revisit the Children’s Museum Singapore (CMSG), the wait is over. Starting 4 Feb 2026, the museum’s beloved mascot has received a high-tech upgrade. WonderBot 2.0, developed in partnership with Tencent, is no longer just a character on a screen—it is now an intelligent, voice-responsive companion designed to guide your little ones through the galleries, making Singapore’s history feel more like a video game than a history lesson.

A Smart Companion for Every Age

Located on the first floor, WonderBot 2.0 uses advanced conversational AI to engage with children in real-time. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all experience; the bot is calibrated to interact differently based on a child’s age range.

  • Interactive Missions: Children can take part in guided quests that turn exhibit-browsing into an active scavenger hunt.

  • Voice-Responsive Learning: Curious kids can ask WonderBot questions and receive intuitive, child-friendly explanations about the museum’s stories.

  • Personalised Journeys: The bot learns and laughs alongside its visitors, ensuring that no two museum visits feel exactly the same.

Reimagining Heritage Through Play

The collaboration between HeritageSG and Tencent aims to "Tech for Good," using 3D modelling and digital avatars to lower the barrier for history learning. Instead of reading long plaques, children learn through quizzes and storytelling. It transforms the museum from a passive space into a two-way dialogue, encouraging even the youngest visitors to experiment and discover at their own pace.

Explore the Permanent Galleries

While WonderBot 2.0 is the star of the show, your "WonderPass" still gives you access to the museum's fan-favourite zones:

  • Ahoy Singapore: Step onto a virtual junk ship and experience the sights and sounds of a bustling 19th-century port.

  • The Marketplace: Experience the heritage trades of Singapore’s past, from traditional shophouses to hands-on role-playing.

  • The Play Pod: A dedicated, fruit-themed safe space designed specifically for toddlers aged 2 to 4.

BYKidO Pro-Tip: Note that Children's Museum Singapore is stroller-friendly, but strollers are generally not allowed inside the actual galleries to keep the walkways safe for running toddlers. There is a designated, unmanned stroller parking area near the entrance. We recommend bringing a baby carrier if you have a non-walker! Also, remember that socks are required for certain play areas like the Play Pod.
