2026 School and Public Holidays

1. School Holidays 2026

The official school holidays have been released from MOE on 30 Jul 2025. The school holidays in 2026 for Primary & Secondary schools are 

• March Holidays: 14 Mar to 22 Mar
• June Holidays: 30 May to 28 Jun
• September Holidays:  5 Sep to 13 Sep
• Year-end Holidays: 21 Nov to 31 Dec

¹Primary 1 and Kindergarten 1 will start school on Friday, 2 January 2026. Primary 2 to 6 and Kindergarten 2 will start school on Monday, 5 January 2026.

There will also be 3 scheduled school holidays for the 2026 school year: Youth Day, Teachers’ Day and Children’s Day.

• Youth Day: 5 Jul 2026 (The following Mon 6 Jul will be a school holiday)
• Teachers' Day: 4 Sep 2026
• Children's Day: 2 Oct 2026

For those in Primary School, you will also want to take note of the PSLE dates*. Primary schools are on holiday over the PSLE Marking Days and there might be other closures / half-days during the other exam dates.

• Tentative PSLE Marking Dates:  12 - 14 Oct 2026

4. Maximise Your Holidays in 2026

There will be SIX long weekends in 2026, according to the list of gazetted public holidays announced by the Ministry of Manpower.

• Vesak Day, 31 May 2026, Sun
• National Day, 9 Aug 2026, Sun
• Deepavali, 8 Nov 2026, Sun

On top of the long weekends, you can also plan your holidays as follows

• New Year Day falls on Thu, and you can have a 4 day break if you take leave on 2 Jan 2026
• Chinese New Year falls on Tues and Weds, and you can have a 5 day break if you take leave on 16 Feb 2026

2027 School and Public Holidays

1. School Holidays 2027

The official school holidays have been released from MOE on 14 Jul 2026. The school holidays in 2027 for Primary & Secondary schools are 

• March Holidays: 13 Mar to 21 Mar
• June Holidays: 29 May to 27 Jun
• September Holidays:  4 Sep to 12 Sep
• Year-end Holidays: 20 Nov to 31 Dec

Primary 1 and Kindergarten 1 will start school on Monday, 4 January 2027. Primary 2 to 6 and Kindergarten 2 will start school on Tuesday, 5 January 2027.

There will also be 4 scheduled school holidays for the 2027 school year: Youth Day, Day after National Day, Teachers’ Day and Children’s Day.

• Youth Day: 4 Jul 2027 (The following Mon 5 Jul will be a school holiday)
• Day After National Day: 10 Aug 2027
• Teachers' Day: 3 Sep 2027
• Children's Day: 8 Oct 2027
