We love going on staycations. We get all the fun without the packing headache or a long flight — what’s not to like? We don’t know about you, but we have three things that we keep in mind when choosing a staycation: location, room type, and food. To our delight, Orchard Rendezvous Hotel’s new Family Rendezvous Experience checks all the boxes!

A Convenient Spot for Family Fun

Located at the gateway of Orchard Road, we were drawn to how Orchard Rendezvous Hotel is located along a quieter stretch of road, yet still incredibly close to all the action. In fact, the hotel is right next to Forum The Shopping Mall, which has lots of food and a fun indoor playground (Smigy).

Spacious Room for Families 

The room is gigantic, and was even big enough for us to play a game of catch. Needless to say, our daughter had the best time running around!

Choose from a Family Room (37 sqm) or Family Room with sofa bed (41 sqm); ours was the former, and came with a king bed and a single bed. If you prefer, a configuration of three single beds is also available. The latter, on the other hand, comes with a king bed and a sofa bed.

The room also comes with a big balcony — we brought our bubble gun, and had lots of fun on it. 

Get Special Bathroom Amenities for Kids

We greatly appreciated the special kids’ bathroom amenities, which included bottles of kids’ shampoo, shower gel, body lotion, a small bar of soap, and a body wipe. In fact, the kids’ toothbrush was so adorable that our daughter insisted on bringing it home!

We also found cute little kids’-sized slippers and, to our surprise, a handy drying rack for wet clothes.

The exclusive Rendezvous Junior Art Pack kept our little one well entertained too.

Plenty Food Options

Each staycation comes with complimentary breakfast. The spread is not very varied, but it has an array of cooked food, breads, cereals, fruit and, our personal favourite, a live egg station. A little shoutout to the egg chef, who was super friendly and took the time to interact with children — the cherry on top of a lovely breakfast experience. 

Tip: Pancakes are made to order, simply let one of the waiters know. 

Get S$100 Dining Credit for Each Stay

Seriously, how sweet is that? This S$100 nett dining credit can be used at Brewerkz or Tung Lok Signatures, or for in-room dining. 

To sweeten the deal, the staycation package also comes with complimentary tickets to the Children’s Museum (for 2 adults and 2 children). The museum is free for Singapore citizens and permanent residents; however, the tickets are valid for quite some time, making them perfect to keep for international family and friends who might be visiting over the holidays.

Enjoy a Large Swimming Pool

Our daughter had a fantastic time swimming in the large outdoor pool. There’s even a special pool menu, where you can get bites like sweet potato fries and pizzas delivered by the poolside.
