Developed in partnership with National Reading Movement and UNIQLO, eight exclusive T-shirt designs inspired by the love for reading will be on sale at the UNIQLO store in Orchard Central!
This is part of the National Reading Movement to encourage more people to set aside more time for reading, explore books of different genres and read with their loved ones. These designs are inspired by four Singapore Literature (Sing Lit) books and four reading-inspired slogans.
8 UTme! T-shirts Designs
The UTme! T-shirts are available at the UNIQLO Orchard Central flagship store from 22 March. For those who want a personalised design, they can create their one-of-a-kind T-shirt and customise it with texts, photographs, stickers and even other designs from this NLB and UNIQLO partnership at the UTme! customisation booth in the UNIQLO flagship store at Orchard Central.
These designs will also be available in selected stores at a later date. The adult-sized tee retails at $29.90 and kids-sized tee retails at $19.90.
Explore Books at UNIQLO
Shoppers can also explore various books and immerse in the realms of fiction, sustainability and wellness in this section jointly developed between NLB and UNIQLO. Set up in October 2023, the library wall at the UNIQLO outlet in 51@AMK features 33 NLB eReads, including six audiobooks. Each panel is adorned with a book cover and summary, as well as two QR codes – one of which leads directly to eReads on the NLB Mobile app, and another that leads to the Apple app store or Google Play store, where one can download the NLB Mobile app.
This ongoing effort to make learning and discovery of content more accessible to all, ties in with NLB’s LAB25 (Libraries and Archives Blueprint 2025) vision to create a Learning Marketplace through educational and interactive spaces beyond its libraries and archives and to inspire Singapore Storytellers. NLB welcomes partners and the community to join in on nurturing a vibrant reading culture, and curate new ways for everyone to learn, read and discover.
