18ha nature park to be opened next to the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserves with outdoor nature-play spaces for families to spend time outdoors and with nature!
NParks announced that a new 18ha Lim Chu Kang Nature Park will be opened to the west of Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserves in 2022. The nature park will link the Wetland Reserves with the Lim Chu Kang mangroves.
Together with the upcoming Mandai Mangrove and Mudflat Nature Park, this forms the Sungei Buloh Nature Park Network, with over 400ha of wetlands, marshes, nature parks and eco-corridors along the northern coast of Singapore.
More Reasons For Families To Reconnect With Nature
5km of new trials will be added in the Lim Chu Kang and Mandai Mangrove and Mudland Nature Park, allowing families to discover over 15km of nature trails within the Sungei Buloh Nature Park Network.
The Lim Chu Kang Nature Park will also feature nature-inspired play spaces for families and children to explore and have fun in!
Families will also be able to explore the surrounding area as NParks works towards conserving the rustic vibe and to reconstruct the Cashin House, a 100-yr old bungalow that sits within the nature park, into a new exhibition gallery
Work is expected to start in 2020 and to be completed in 2022.
