If you thought Google was just a search engine for deciding on your next travel destination, you’re going to be mind-boggled when you learn that hidden in the nooks of Google are games that you can play and entertain your little ones with!
Forget about downloading an app or clicking on a link, all you need is a good internet connection (or maybe not).
Here are our pick of 6 Google search games you got to try out with your little ones!
1. PAC-MAN
Google’s version of PAC-MAN, a game played through the generations for years, will have you sitting at the edges of your seats!
Manoeuvre Pac-Man around the Google maze, devouring the dots while avoiding Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde, the game’s resident ghosts. If you eat the big blinking pink dots, the ghosts will turn blue momentarily, which is when you can gobble them up.
Simply search for ‘Pacman’ to pull up the game. Â
2. Atari Breakout
Searching for ‘Atari Breakout’ on Google images will transform the search results into a game of Image Breakout.
Search results will turn into bricks and you’ll have to break them using the ball given by controlling the paddle at the bottom of the screen. You will have to break all the images up before your four lives are up.
*BYKidO Tip: Trying to play on your mobile? Open the Google Chrome App, click "Desktop Site" and search "Atari Breakout" in the Google Image Search.Â

3. Tic-Tac-Toe
All you have to type on the search bar of Google is ‘Tic Tac Toe’ and hit enter to start a game.
You can choose to play as the cross or the circle and you can even choose the level, from Easy to Impossible, which truly is impossible and all the more addictive for it.
Since, Tic-Tac-Toe is a two player game, you can also challenge your little ones to a game with the ‘Play against a friend’ option.
If your internet connection dies out in the middle of the game, worry not, you can still continue playing as long as you don’t refresh your page! Â
4. T-Rex Run
Speaking of dead internet connections, the little big-headed T-Rex that appears on Google Chrome to let you know that you have no internet is not there just to decorate the page.
If you hit your Up arrow or the Spacebar on your keyboard, the T-Rex will start running! Keep it running by using the Up arrow or Spacebar to jump over cacti and swooping pterodactyls. This adorable little game is easy enough that your little ones can even play on their own.
*BYKidO Tip: You can only play this game when you are offline (not common on mobile). To play on mobile, turn off your wifi and mobile data. Do a search on Google Chrome and tap on the friendly Dinosaur to play!

5. Snake
Search for ‘play snake’ on Google and you’ll be presented with a simple cartoonish version of the classic snake game. Move the snake with your Up, Down, Right and Left arrows to gobble up the apple and lengthen the snake but be sure not to hit the walls. Â
Like Tic-Tac-Toe, you can continue playing Snake even if you’re no longer connected to the internet half-way through. Â
6. I’m Feeling Curious
If you enter ‘I’m feeling curious’ in Google’s search bar, you’ll be presented with random facts. While it is not exactly a game, the fascinating facts are enough to keep you occupied and wanting more!
