The Great Ocean Dash is a SpongeBob Squarepants-themed fun run and festival that blends fitness, family bonding, and ocean conservation for an unforgettable day out.

Venue: Sentosa, Palawan Beach
Dates: 23 Nov 2025, 8 am - 12 pm
Fees: from $55 (registration closes 14 Nov 2025)
The Great Ocean Dash is not just another fun run; it is a nationwide ocean conservation campaign launched in Singapore in June 2025. This initiative brilliantly harnesses the global appeal of SpongeBob SquarePants™ and friends, transforming the critical issue of marine conservation into an engaging, relatable, and fun-filled family adventure.
By partnering with organisations like the Public Hygiene Council (PHC) and the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF), the campaign mobilises individuals, communities, and corporate groups to take collective action. The central mission is clear: to protect Singapore’s marine ecosystems and to celebrate SG60 by aiming to remove at least 30,000kg of marine litter by October 2025—a truly monumental goal that will also attempt a Singapore Book of Records milestone.
The Ultimate Family Day Out: Run, Play, and Learn

The campaign culminates in a spectacular finale event, The Great Ocean Dash Fun Run & Festival, designed to be the perfect day out for families who want to combine physical activity with meaningful contribution.
Happening on 23 Nov 2025 from 8 am to 12 pm, families can join the run at Palawan Green, Sentosa to do their part!

Why Parents Should Join
For parents, The Great Ocean Dash offers a unique opportunity to provide children with a tangible connection to conservation, combining fun with responsibility.
- Teach by Doing: By running, parents are not just telling their children about conservation; they are actively showing them. This participation in an event linked to clean-ups transforms abstract concepts into a shared family effort.
- Health and Fun Combined: It's a low-pressure environment for children to build confidence in their physical abilities and enjoy the outdoors, all while being entertained by the popular SpongeBob theme.
- A Shared Legacy: The entire campaign is part of Singapore’s SG60 celebrations, giving families a chance to contribute to a national milestone and setting a Singapore Book of Records milestone for community action.
