Highlighted Experiences

On Sunday, 2 July 2023Cheng San-Seletar CACC will kick off the PAssionArts Festival with its Art Village, a celebration of vibrant artworks co-created with its residents. One of the highlights is the Buttons UP art display consisting of individual works that deftly incorporate buttons of varying sizes and colours, blossoming with creativity. Another highlight is the creative use of recyclable materials such as paper towel core car and plastic bottle bunny bank to create art pieces that embodied the community’s sustainability efforts.

Art, technology, and community spirit converge at Bukit Batok East CACC’s Art Village, scheduled to take place on Saturday, 22 July. One of the fascinating attractions is the Tape Art Installation. Measuring an impressive 6.6 feet by 20 feet (2m by 6m), this canvas art installation is adorned with a radiant spectrum of colourful duct tape, skilfully intertwining with a mosaic of memories. Co-created by residents, volunteers and a local community artist, this Tape Art Installation captures the treasured memories of yesteryear which today blossoms into a vibrant tapestry of colours for all to enjoy. Tampines North CACC’s Festival Village will blossom with lively colours and creative energy on Saturday, 26 August. These tree installations will revel residents and visitors alike with their splendour of artistic expression. Complementing the tree installations, art booths by students from Temasek Polytechnic will enrich the festival experience, offering a diverse range of creative displays. This communal effort represents the shared commitment to celebrating art and community cohesion, encapsulating the essence of the PAssionArts Festival.
