GetActive! Singapore 2025 is back, offering a vibrant celebration of National Day through sport! Discover new aquatic adventures, exciting competitions, and engaging activities for all ages and abilities.

As parents, we're always on the lookout for enriching and active experiences for our little ones, and indeed, for ourselves. This year, GetActive! Singapore (GASG) 2025 has launched its landmark 10th edition, promising an expanded and more extensive run than ever before. In celebration of SG60 and in conjunction with Singapore hosting the prestigious 2025 World Aquatics Championships, this year's GASG offers an incredible opportunity for families to bond, play, and celebrate the nation's spirit together.

Kicking off on 26th July 2025 and running across five exhilarating weekends until 23rd August 2025, GASG 2025 has transformed into a month-long extravaganza of sport and community engagement. Whether your family loves a good splash, competitive thrills, or simply a fun day out, there's truly something for everyone. 

Most events are free to attend, with specific competitions having a nominal registration fee to participate. ActiveSG members can also enjoy benefits, including a special SG60 ActiveSG credit top-up which can be used for facility bookings and programmes.

So, gather your family, put on your active wear, and get ready to be part of Singapore’s biggest National Day celebration through sport

What to Expect: A Calendar of Excitement!

GetActive! Singapore 2025 is bursting with events across various locations, including the Singapore Sports Hub, selected ActiveSG Sport Centres, and heartland venues. Here's a breakdown of the key happenings you won't want to miss:

Pesta Sukan

Venue: Various locations across Singapore
Dates: Ongoing (various dates for different sports)
Admission: Varies by sport and category

Singapore's oldest and largest multi-sport community event returns with its largest number of sports ever – 37 in total, including 11 with para categories! Look out for signature events like the AQUA Ekiden, Round Island Bike Adventure, and Singapore Urban Walk Challenge. Six new sports have been introduced: golf, beach wrestling, and mind sports such as Chess, Contract Bridge, Weiqi, and Xiangqi. The Community Championship also includes bowling and floorball.

With over 50,000 sign-ups expected, participants will receive sustainable medals and trophies made from recycled metals and FSC-certified wood.

Majulah Fiesta – National Day Weekend

Venue: Various locations around Singapore Sports Hub
Dates: Friday, 8th August 2025 to Sunday, 10th August 2025
Admission: Free 

Transform your National Day weekend into a vibrant celebration at Majulah Fiesta 2025! Look forward to the AL!VE Artisans Market (8th-10th Aug), Majulah Fiesta Fitness Party (9th-10th Aug), the Majulah Music Hub concert (9th Aug from 1pm), and the Good Pet Fair | Kampong Edition (9th-10th Aug). Don't miss two Singapore Book of Records attempts – Most Golden Retrievers gathered in one place and Most Corgis gathered in one place!

On 9th August, catch the live NDP screening and a mesmerising 5-minute fireworks display over the Kallang Basin.

National Day Heartland Celebrations

Venue: Across five locations around Singapore:

  • Yishun – open field next to FutsalArena @ Yishun
  • Geylang Serai – open field beside Wisma Geylang Serai
  • Bukit Gombak – Bukit Gombak ActiveSG Stadium

Admission: Free.

Bring the National Day festivities closer to home! Enjoy exciting family-friendly activities co-created by PA and grassroots organisations. Look out for mobile columns, exhibits, live performances, and a grand finale featuring fireworks and a drone show. There will also be sport try-outs and kampung games to foster community engagement.

Members of the public can also learn more about the SG60 $100 ActiveSG credits and Team Nila – Singapore’s national sport volunteerism movement. The Active Health Community Fitness Challenge, where visitors can test their fitness levels through sport-specific fitness challenges, will also be available for the public to try out.

Play Inclusive 2025 (22 and 23 August)

Reflecting GASG’s spirit of togetherness, Play Inclusive 2025, Singapore’s largest inclusive sport competition and a flagship initiative under the refreshed Disability Sports Master Plan, will return for its eighth edition. Co-organised by SportCares, the philanthropic arm of SportSG, alongside Special Olympics Singapore and the Singapore Disability Sports Council, the event is aimed at raising awareness of disability and inclusive sports through shared sporting experiences. This year, over 1,200 athletes of diverse abilities and their unified partners are expected to compete side by side at events across three locations around the Singapore Sports Hub – OCBC Arena, Kallang Football Hub and Kallang Tennis Hub.

Public engagements will also make a return, featuring inclusive sport activities and try-outs at OCBC Square. There will also be partner booths at the OCBC Arena, where the public can learn more about various offerings for persons with disabilities (PWD).

World Aquatics Championships – Singapore 2025

Venue: Various locations around Singapore Sports Hub
Dates: Ongoing until 22nd August 2025
Admission: Free, though some specific activities or merchandise may incur costs.

As Singapore proudly hosts the World Aquatics Championships, GASG offers exclusive events. Families can explore sponsor booths, visit the Official Merchandise Store at the Fan Zone at OCBC Square, or delve into interactive stations at the Community Roadshow at Kallang Wave Mall. There will also be talks, chats, and meet-and-greets with athletes at the Sports Hub Auditorium. These events are designed to highlight the versatility of water-based exercises and engage people of all ages and abilities.

Aqua Dance Spectacular

Venue:

  • Live screening at OCBC Square, Singapore Sports Hub. 
  • Event at ActiveSG Bukit Canberra Sport Centre, ActiveSG Delta Sport Centre, ActiveSG Jurong West Sport Centre, ActiveSG Sengkang Sport Centre, Heartbeat@Bedok

Dates: Saturday, 2nd August 2025

Make a splash with a morning filled with aqua aerobics and aqua fun fit activities. Be part of a Singapore Book of Records attempt for the largest synchronised aqua aerobics event, with over 1,000 participants! The special aqua edition of the "Dance of the Nation," choreographed to this year’s National Day theme song, “Here We Are,” will be a highlight. It will take place across 5 ActiveSG Sport Centres and screened live at the OCBC Square. 

Pickleball Palooza

Venue: OCBC Square, Singapore Sports Hub
Dates: Tuesday, 12th August 2025 to Thursday, 21st August 2025

Join in on the pickleball craze! This fun and inclusive event celebrates the popular sport with introductory sessions, friendly matches, and challenges designed to get everyone, regardless of skill level, trying their hand at this paddle sport.

ActiveSG Para Sport Academy (PSA) Swim Competition

Venue: ActiveSG Delta Sport Centre
Dates: Saturday, 23rd August 202

This inaugural swim competition offers persons with different types of disabilities and varying skill levels the chance to experience swimming in a competitive setting. Unique categories, including swimming with aids, ensure all new and less experienced para swimmers can participate. It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the para sport community and drum up excitement for the upcoming World Para Swimming Championships.

Active Health Community Fitness Challenge (AHrena)

Venue: OCBC Square, Singapore Sports Hub
Dates: Ongoing until 23rd August 2025
Admission: Free. 

Discover your fitness potential! Members of the public can learn about key areas of fitness – cardiovascular fitness, agility, balance, strength, and power – through engaging and educational activities. Learn how these components are vital for daily living and injury prevention.

Lion City Dance Convention (LCDC)

Venue: Various locations around Singapore Sports Hub
Dates: Friday, 26th July 2025 to Sunday, 3rd August 2025
Admission: Check the LCDC website for event-specific pricing and workshops. 

Back for its fifth edition, LCDC is a key platform for Singapore’s vibrant street dance community. Expect intense dance battles and spectacular crew showcases, evaluated by an all-star panel of local and international dance icons.

ActiveSG Football Academy Football Fiesta

Venue: National Stadium, Singapore Sports Hub
Dates: Saturday, 2nd August 2025 and Sunday, 3rd August 2025

This fiesta creates an inclusive sporting experience that celebrates diversity and promotes football accessibility for children and youths of all abilities. Specially curated mini-competitions will bring together AFA participants, their parents, and football partners, fostering confidence and promoting football for everyone.
