ARTBOX EVERYDAY 2025

ARTBOX EVERYDAY 2025 is set to transform Singapore Expo Hall 4 into a vibrant hub of creativity and culture, making art more relevant and accessible to all generations. The event aims to foster meaningful connections through creative arts, inviting public and trade visitors to engage in a vibrant showcase of creativity, arts, and community-driven activities. Spanning two action-packed weekends, 17 to 19 January and 24 to 26 January 2025, it offers a seamless fusion of art, food, and retail from across Asia, including Singapore, Thailand, Korea, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

ARTBOX Express

This year, ARTBOX enhances the visitor experience by transforming the journey into part of the event. The newly introduced ARTBOX Express offers a dedicated shuttle service from *SCAPE to ARTBOX for just S$0.50. Running at regular intervals, the service features two buses, each showcasing artistic takeovers by Chang Beer and PacificLight, adding a creative touch to the commute. Visitors can onboard the ARTBOX Express via the ARTBOX Bus Stop located at *SCAPE. As each bus ride turns into a pop-up art space featuring digital installations from 32 different artists, the ARTBOX Bus Stop will complement with live music performances and interactive displays, aiming to integrate everyday travel with creativity, making every moment of the journey an immersive experience.

ARTBOX Estate

Upon arriving at ARTBOX EVERYDAY, visitors will be captivated by the ARTBOX Estate—a massive, communal vibrant space drawing inspiration from Singapore's heartlands. At its heart stands the Hero Structure, a striking three-level installation crafted from stacked shipping containers, designed with creative direction inputs from PHUNK Collective. This central installation houses a series of immersive experiences:

ARTBOX Convenience Store

The ARTBOX Convenience Store showcases exclusive, artist-designed merchandise, where visitors can purchase creations from PHUNK and 32 talented designers who have collaborated with Aliwal Chess Club, hand-drawing specially curated designs on larger-than-life chess pieces, making artistic expression more accessible to the wider community

Unlock Goodness with SōngHè

SōngHè invites visitors to "Unlock Goodness" by enriching lives with quality rice while giving back to the community. Participants can look forward to surprise boxes filled with exciting rewards, including opportunities to donate rice to Food from the Heart, a beneficiary dedicated to supporting those in need. Additional rewards include cash prizes, exclusive SōngHè merchandise, and more, making it a meaningful and rewarding experience for all involved.

The Great Singapore Give

In support of The Great Singapore Give by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre, the Singapore Red Cross (SRC) will also be located at the ARTBOX Estate with its blood donation drive in the second week of the event. Beneficiaries from SRC’s Young Hearts and ElderAid Programme will also participate in a mural drawing during the first week of the event within the same space.

ARTBOX Lounge

Nestled above the Hero Structure, the ARTBOX Lounge at its summit offers a dedicated space for creative professionals to network and collaborate, fostering connections within the regional creative economy.

Hero Structure: A Heartland-Inspired Communal Space Featuring Engaging Activities

Surrounding the Hero Structure sits a familiar communal space reminiscent of Singapore's heartland estates, designed to foster interaction, creativity, and a sense of community. Visitors can participate in a massive variety of engaging activities, alike to a bustling neighbourhood on a regular day:

Open Mic session powered by Teo Heng 

Set up in a familiar neighbourhood basketball court setting, the Open Mic session powered by Teo Heng features an elaborate KTV sound system worth $16,000. Visitors will be able to take centre-stage in the basketball court as they belt out their favourite songs, amidst the cheer and support from other visitors

Aliwal Chess Club

An unconventional street chess community in Singapore, the event features interactive chess activities and a special collaboration with 32 local and regional artists at Aliwal Chess Club. Situated at the Chess Block, the talented creators have reimagined larger-than-life chess pieces with stunning, hand-drawn designs, showcased in the Aliwal Chess Club x ARTBOX EVERYDAY exhibition. Visitors can also explore exclusive artist merchandise at the ARTBOX Convenience Store.

Mini Box, ARTBOX First Ever Child Enrichment Centre, hosted by The Creative Nook

This first-of-its-kind children’s enrichment centre at ARTBOX offers various workshops and activities on an hourly basis, designed to inspire creativity and imagination in the little ones. From storytelling, music & movement, rainbow crafts, and t-shirt doodling, the Mini Box is where playtime meets artistic discovery—perfect for families visiting ARTBOX

Gamestop Arena

Making a regular comeback is the Gamestop Arena, this time taking a leaf out of ARTBOX Everyday concept, appearing as shophouses under the void decks. In this area, complimentary Nintendo Switch and VR games take center stage as visitors get to sink into comfortable camping chairs as they immerse themselves in thrilling gameplay while connecting with fellow enthusiasts. This cosy and exciting space blends relaxation with the joy of gaming—a perfect spot for playful escapades.

Workshops

The workshops, conveniently located beside Mini Box, unleashes the inner artists and dive into a world of creativity at ARTBOX workshops through a variety of hands-on sessions – perfume making, creating temporary tattoos and DIY Postcards, designed to inspire self-expression and spark imagination.

The Arcade People

The Arcade People (TAP) brings a nostalgic yet thrilling experience to ARTBOX EVERYDAY, offering a mix of retro arcade classics and beloved childhood favourites alongside modern gaming titles. With an array of games catering to all ages, this arcade promises nonstop fun, allowing visitors to relive cherished memories while creating new ones in a vibrant and engaging setting.

Caricature and Photo Booths

Caricature by Jelly Caricature and Photo Booths will also be available at the estate, where visitors can take a piece of ARTBOX Everyday back with them.

Beyond Borders Performances: A Showcase of Global Talent and Artistic Collaboration

Audiences can look forward to an exciting weekend of live performances, with each day offering a different experience that blends local talent with international influences. Trade Day on Thursday will be a highlight with appearances from singer Priscilla Abby and stand-up comedian Dr. Jason Leong, electrifying the event.

The Friday lineup promises a vibrant fusion of cross-cultural music, featuring Mandopop, K-pop, and J-pop, complemented by appearances from renowned radio station DJs. Attendees can look forward to DJs from 98.7FM on the first Friday and 93.3FM on the following Friday, setting the stage for an energetic and unforgettable evening.

On Saturdays, the mood will shift to groovy, funky fusion and feel-good vibes, while Sunday will bring a wave of nostalgia, with a selection of old-school classics and 90s hits that will transport the audience back in time. Local bands like The Mad Trios, The Passerby and Too Much Drama, will take the stage to keep the energy high.

Throughout the event, Chang Beer will bring their signature slogan—Perfect Beer, Perfect Music, Perfect Vibe—to life by hosting engaging games, distributing exclusive merchandise, and serving perfectly chilled beverages. Their presence will create a celebratory ambience that seamlessly complements the creative energy of ARTBOX.

Retail Renaissance: Curated Selection of Local Charm and International Flair

ARTBOX EVERYDAY will transform into a vibrant retail hub, bringing together over 300 artisans and vendors from Thailand, Korea, Hong Kong, and Malaysia over the two weekends for a shopping experience unlike any other. Visitors can explore an eclectic mix of offerings, with Loma Whale and Pola from Thailand, N7 from Korea and THE SCENTIST from Hong Kong, featuring fashion-forward statement pieces to traditional handcrafted items, making it a destination for unique finds and creative treasures.

Adding a local touch to the global showcase, the event highlights beloved homegrown brands. Shoppers can discover Thrifted Clicks, specialising in vintage digital cameras and camcorders, or browse a curated selection of cosy and personalised items, including accessories, home dĂŠcor, and clothing from Hug Material. These Singaporean labels, along with a host of other local and international artisans, promise to deliver a shopping experience that blends creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural diversity.

From Street Eats to Gourmet Treats: A Culinary Adventure at ARTBOX

ARTBOX EVERYDAY invites attendees to embark on a vibrant culinary journey, showcasing an exciting selection of regional F&B vendors serving up a global feast to delight every food enthusiast. Among the highlights is the highly acclaimed Bangkok dessert chain ‘After You’, supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), famed for its iconic Shibuya honey toasts and Nutella toasts. Visitors can also indulge in innovative sushi tacos from The Sohtt Collective, and enjoy Slurp Your Oysters’ flavourful selection of oysters, promising a shucking good time. These offerings are just a taste of the diverse culinary experiences in store at the event.

Attracting over 50,000 visitors last year, ARTBOX is set to elevate its creative festival with the launch of its inaugural Trade Day. Designed to drive innovation, collaboration, and the growth of the creative economy, this exclusive B2B event offers a dynamic platform for vendors, landlords, and business professionals to forge meaningful partnerships, exchange insights, and explore new opportunities within the creative and placemaking sectors.

The Trade Day will feature keynote presentations from industry leaders, including Adrian Ang (SGAG), David Chua (National Youth Council), Johnathan Chua (GRVTY), Clarence Chan (Bandwagon), Dr. Jason Leung. The event will also feature international influencers such as Jenn Chia (@SOIMJENN), and Priscilla Abby (@priscillaabbychai) who will be sharing their knowledge and experiences in creating content with purpose.
