Young families, prepare for a day of feathered fun! The Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) is hosting a special event on April 27th, 2025, from 11 am to 3 pm, promising a delightful experience for children and their parents alike.

ACM Adventures: Whistle a Happy Tune is inspired by the Tang Shipwreck Gallery's ancient bird whistle, this event invites families to take flight on a wave of creativity and storytelling.

Get Crafty! Make a Bird Whistle Medal

11 am – 3 pm, Lobby

Children can unleash their inner artist by creating their very own bird medal using cardboard and thread. They can then attach it to a whistle in their favourite colour, making a unique souvenir of their visit. This activity is suitable for ages 5 and above, with parental guidance.

Move it! Interactive Performance

11.30 am & 2 pm, River Room, Level 2

The Kueh Tutus will captivate audiences with a non-verbal interactive performance about a little girl's special friendship with a rare and beautiful bird. Through music and movement, families can participate in telling this heartwarming story. This performance is ideal for children aged 4 and above.

Story Time in the Galleries!

1.30 pm, Tang Shipwreck Gallery, Level 1

The Zip Zap Zoom Collective will take families on a storytelling journey about a group of quarrelsome birds and a brave little bird who changes everything. This session is suitable for ages 5 and above. Please note that museum admission fees apply for this particular activity.

Let's Explore ACM with Binoculars!

11 am – 3 pm, Lobby, Level 1

Enhance your museum experience by renting a pair of binoculars from the Visitor Services Counter. Get up close and personal with the fascinating details on display. This activity is perfect for ages 4 and above and is limited to one pair per parent-child duo.
