Dear Partners,

Why am I writing the bi-weekly Updates?


To create a Partnership with each Partner, I believe in providing an update of what we are doing and our plans. Perhaps it will spark ideas for further collaboration or encourage you to give us additional support in some areas. I believe that there is always potential for more.


My idea for BYKidO is to create stronger relationship with each Partner and not be just another listing site. While there are many factor affecting our level of engagement, providing updates on BYKidO, in my opinion, is a step in building this Partnership.


I like to reiterate my Triple Win belief that for BYKidO to succeed, BYKidO has to help our Partners to meet their business objectives while giving our Parents good promotions and deals! I hope our Partnership will help us achieve this.

Below is a table, listing a number of matrix that I look at, for Partners familiar, you will note that I added total Redemptions for the month. For each matrix, I have provided details on where we started in January, our last update, as of today and the Target for end June 2017

Significance of the above


  1. Partners and Promotions – We wish to grow our Partners and Promotions to remain attractive to Parents. When we are attractive to Parents, we will be able to attract more eyeballs to all our Partners.
  2. Mailing List and Facebook Likes – This represents our reach to Parents. A larger number allows us to reach more Parents.
  3. Pass Holders – These are people who are able to redeem the Promotions. The greater the number, the higher the potential of redemption for your promotion.
  4. Total Redemptions – This measures how many redemptions have been made for the month and will give us a gauge of success.

  • Jan 2017 Giveaway –The giveaway has ended. I like to thank all Partners that have sponsored for the events and also to all Prize title sponsors.
  • We got over 100 responses to our Giveaways (in total) as well as saw a jump in “Likes” and Mailing List numbers.
  • The Giveaway was sent throughout various channels (with some post having over 7,000 reach) – Emails and Facebook Post, thus we hope that it has generated buzz about the Participating Partners.

    • Online Voucher system (in progress)
    • Additional Filtering Function on Promotion Page (Parents may now filter Promotions based on Category, Age and Location)
    • Updated Homepage to include “featured” Partners / Promotion. Contact us if you wish to be featured.


  1. Other Notables
  • Joint Marketing Campaign with British Club
    • We previously reached out about a joint EDM Campaign with the British Club.
    • Reach: 2,600 existing British Club Members and their families who are mainly expatriates in regional senior management positions.
    • We have sent our confirmation to Partners that have expressed interest.
    • Do let us know if you are keen to take part in this EDM Campaign (by end of this week)

    • Would you like us to do a review of your services? Do reach out to us and we will be glad to work on this with you. Absolutely free.
      1. Examples of previous reviews: Busy Tables / A2 Parkour
    • Do you have a Party Package that you like to promote on BYKidO? We are starting a Party Package Category and will be looking to promote this more extensively once we have more Promotions listed.


  1. Take part in a Marketing Campaign at a low fee
    • Will you like to take part in an EDM Marketing Campaign at a lower cost?
    • Normal EDM campaigns charge between $1,000 - $5,000 and might be out of reach for many small businesses.
    • To help you as well as BYKidO reach out to a wider audience, I like to include you in our marketing campaigns with our advertising contacts


  • 2nd Marketing Campaign with SMU Alumni
    1. This is our 2nd Marketing Campaign and it will be to 26,000 SMU Alumni.
    2. We will be listed as an Alumni benefit (6 months) with an EDM blast to the full Alumni database in March
  • Cost: $50 per Promotion featured.
  • What do you get?
    1. Your Logo and Promotion listed on the Campaign EDM
      • Creates a first impression and call to action for Alumni that purchases the BYKidO Pass
    2. You do not need to get involved in creating the EDM or to handle the advertising
  • Direct ROI through redemption of the Promotion as well as brand marketing to a selected audience
  • Reach out to me for a slot or more details. Deadline for taking up slots is 15th Feb 2017.

  • We are working on 2 potential events in Feb and another potentially in Mar. More details will follow.

    • Do you have a Corporate / Group pricing? Let us know and we will be glad to promote your corporate / group bookings in suitable future conversations.
    • We will also appreciate any introductions to Corporates or Preschools that might find our services useful. We can discuss how this might be beneficial to all parties involved.


  1. Benefits to your Members
    • If you are running an in-house membership program, I will be glad to discuss how we may provide the BYKidO Pass as a membership benefit to your members.
