While the sessions used to be free, there is now a fee of $80 that includes a live digital planetarium show, a workshop making the Galileo Telescope, a VR Apollo 11 Mission, and private stargazing session.
The Science Centre Observatory
The Observatory is one of the few in the world that is located next to the Equator. This unique position opens up more vistas in the sky and allows you to view constellations in both the northern and southern celestial hemispheres.
Stargazing Sessions
There are 2 sessions available for booking, this includes the Live Planetarium show + Stargazing in the Observatory at $14 (but it is fully booked for the year) and the Astronaut Experience at $80.
Astronaut Experience
Since the first session is already full booked, we will concentrate on sharing about the Astronaut Experience.
This 3 hour session runs from 7pm to 10pm on selected days, most dates already sold out, and it includes the following
- Live digital planetarium show inside the Omni Theatre (45-min)
- Make and bring home your own Galileo Telescope (45-min)
- Embark on Apollo 11 Mission using VR (45-min)
- Private stargazing session in the Observatory (45-min) - weather permitting*
*Wet weather plans includes a demonstration of the portable telescope set up and viewing the simulation of the night sky inside the classroom.
Ticketing Details
Tickets are at $80 and it is similarly priced for both adults and children. The session is also recommended for 10 years old and above, and children below 12 years old needs to be accompanied by an adult.
There is also a maximum capacity of 20 pax per session, which explains why most sessions are sold out. Please also note that there is refund in the case of rain or overcast skies.
