There are 2 different experiences to choose from, including the Fri Night Stargazing & Digital Planetarium Live Show, and the more extensive Astronaut Experience.
The Science Centre Observatory
The Observatory is one of the few in the world that is located next to the Equator. This unique position opens up more vistas in the sky and allows you to view constellations in both the northern and southern celestial hemispheres.
Fri Night Stargazing & Digital Planetarium Live Show
Date: 1, 8, 29 Jul 2022
Time: 7.30 pm - 10 pm
Fees: $17 per person (Omni Theatre + Stargazing + Young Astronomer online badge programme)
*Recommended for 3 years old and above.
As the Earth spins around the Sun, every week brings a slightly different visual spectacle to the skies overhead. In the live planetarium show inside the Omni
Theatre, our Science Educator will bring you on a tour of the current night sky, point out the beautiful sights and listen to fascinating stories about the stars.
Visit the Science Centre Observatory after the show, hang around admiring the celestial objects and interact with our Science Educators and Volunteers.
- 7.30pm-8.30pm - Whats Up there? Digital Planetarium Show in the Omni Theatre (Registration starts at 7pm)
- 8.30pm-10pm - Stargazing at the observatory Participants will take turns for stargazing at the main observatory. Please follow the instructions on the day of the event.
As stargazing is weather dependent, there will be no refund or alternative activity in case of bad weather.
Astronaut Experience
Date: 15 & 22 Jul 2022
Time: 7 pm - 10 pm
Fees: $80 per pax (same rate for adult & children, accompanying adult will need a paying ticket) - note that the experience is not suitable for children below Pri. 1.

Live digital planetarium show at 7pm, followed by making of the Galileo Telescope, VR Apollo 11 Mission, and private stargazing session (weather permitting). Registration starts at 6.45pm.
- Live digital planetarium show inside the Omni Theatre (45-min)
- Make and bring home your own Galileo Telescope (45-min)
- Embark on Apollo 11 Mission using VR (45-min)
- Private stargazing session in the Observatory (45-min) - weather permitting*
*Wet weather plans includes a demonstration of the portable telescope set up and viewing the simulation of the night sky inside the classroom.
Ticketing Details
There is also a maximum capacity of 100 pax per session. You can get your tickets from Science Centre Singapore.
Please note that there will be no refund of the programme cost for any no shows, cancellations or wrong selections during registration. Science Centre Singapore reserves the right to deny admission of participants who do not meet the minimum age requirement.
