To kick start the new year, White Space Art Asia has prepared a series of light-hearted programs that take visitors back to their childhood days. ‘Chocolate, Gummy Bears and Giant Robots’ is a multi-sensory exhibition that seeks to make tangible the faded memories of the simpler bygone days.

Chocolate, Gummy Bears and Giant Robots
In conjunction with Singapore Art Week, from 13 to 28 January 2024, the gallery will be showcasing a comforting curation of works from contemporary artists across various techniques and mediums. The artworks not only delve into different facets of childhood, such as nostalgia, guilelessness, and the coming of age, but also aim to recall familiar childhood snacks such as candy floss and milo.
Families can enjoy hot chocolate along with several snacks that were part of growing up as part of the experience! So parents! Come down to not only relive your childhood, but also let your kids into your universe when you were a child.
3D Modeling Workshops
The highlight of the exhibition is a series of 3D modeling workshops every Saturday during the exhibition. Interested participants could come with any design idea, and the 3D modeling artist, would translate that into an actual 3D model.
You can also choose to 3D print your model in epoxy and aluminum, as well as various coloring techniques (e.g. chrome spray, acrylic). To find out more, do DM White Space Art Asia on their social media or email (art@wsartasia.com) for a quote and a timeslot.

For those keen to find out more, there will also be twenty free 3D modeling slots on the 20th and 27th of Jan. Each slot is a 10-minute consultation with the 3D modeling artist.
However, the scope of the workshop is limited to only robot-themed models and 3D printing is not included. Participants would then receive a digital render of their creations after the model is completed.
The signup sheet will be up on on White Space Art Asia's Facebook and Instagram on 29 Dec 2023 12pm. The slots will be given on a first-come-first-served basis.
