Chinatown is abuzz with activities as the precinct prepares to welcome the Year of the Dragon this Chinese New Year 2024

The yearly Chinatown Chinese New Year Light-up and Festivities is always a great draw for both locals and tourists as visitors to the precinct soak in the atmosphere while shopping for Chinese New Year goodies and enjoying performances too!
Chinese New Year Light-Up
Street lights will light up the streets from 19 Jan to 9 Mar 2024. Streets that will light-up are New Bridge Road, Eu Tong Sen Street, South Bridge Road, and Upper Cross Street as we welcome the Year of the Dragon!
Do also stay tune for the Lantern Adoption that happens between 22 Feb to 1 Mar 2024 where you might be able to bring home a display lantern (I wonder if we can bring home the Dragon too)!
Families should also visit the nearby Golden Tooth Relic Temple and see the lantern displays available there too!
Performances and Activities
Get into the festive cheer by heading down to Chinatown to shop at the annual festive fairs as well as to get into the spirit of the Chinese New Year with exciting performances and to-dos!
