1. NMS: Celebrate Deepavali with Spice & Everything Nice!

In this first digital Deepavali experience, National Museum of Singapore is celebrating with Spice & Everything Nice ! Get to hear a lively exchange between an Ayurvedic practitioner and a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner about the use of spices in dishes as well as the similarities and differences between the two practices. Catch Rangoli artist Priya live in action as she uses colourful powder and spices that are featured in the museum’s William Farquhar Collection of Natural History Drawings to create a colourful piece of rangoli! Listen to stories about the Festival of Lights and enjoy a special musical performance featuring a medley of festive tunes!

Additionally, visitors taking a trip to the museum on 7 Nov, can enjoy free admission to all galleries in celebration of Deepavali!

2. Storytelling Series: Rainbow Fish

Gateway Kids Club’s series of online storytelling sessions continue this month as well. Coming up is the story of Rainbow Fish. Though he has beautiful scales, the Rainbow Fish doesn’t want to share them, thinking he won’t be special without it. This upsets the others, so he seeks help from an Octopus. Embark on a journey with the Rainbow Fish as he discovers the joy of giving and friendship together with Storyteller Dwayne on SISTIC Live!

UNTAME: Beyond Boundaries is Science Centre Singapore’s first event of its kind to celebrate Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in a multidimensional experience.

Facilitated through a gamified approach, step into a virtual arena to be part of hands-on, exploratory quests to explore the realms of Space, Mind and Food. Compete and collaborate with friends to complete STEM challenges to gain points.
