A Perfect Planet | All-New BBC Programme To Premiere Express From The UK

For the first time, Singapore audiences will get the chance to catch A Perfect Planet, within hours of its UK broadcast exclusively on BBC Player.

Exploring Earth’s power - and fragility - to sustain life, this latest documentary series by BBC Earth will showcase cutting-edge cinematography, environmental storytelling both intimate and grand, and the world’s favourite natural historian Sir David Attenborough’s timeless narration.

This five-part series will show how the forces of nature - weather, ocean currents, solar energy and volcanoes - drive, shape and support Earth’s great diversity of life. In doing so, it will reveal how animals (such as, the golden snub-nose monkeys in China; the flamboyant cuttlefish in Lembeh, Indonesia; Bryde’s whales and fig wasps in Thailand; gibbons in Vietnam; and camels in Mongolia) are perfectly adapted to whatever the environment throws at them.

This truly global series was filmed across 31 countries, including some of Asia’s most iconic natural habitats, national parks and seas, such as Queen Sirikit Botanical Gardens, Cat Tien National Park, Shennongjia National Park, the Gulf of Thailand, and the Gobi Desert, Mongolia.

The first episode, Volcanoes, will be available to stream from 12pm on 4 Jan 2021 for a full week, until the linear premiere of both episode one (Volcanoes) and episode two (The Sun) on StarHub’s BBC Earth cable TV channel on 11 Jan 2021.

Thereafter, viewers can watch the five incredible episodes of A Perfect Planet firstly on BBC Player, as they are launched at 12pm prior to that evening’s broadcast on the BBC Earth channel.
