With Malaysia’s KTM Train, JB Sentral is a mere 5 mins ride away from Woodlands and the whole process cannot be simpler.

Step one, book your tickets. You can book them online up to one month in advance for a maximum of six people. You can also purchase your tickets on that day itself, although we would not recommend doing so as the tickets may be sold out.

A train ticket from Woodlands Train Checkpoint to JB Sentral will only cost you SGD 5 and RM 5 from JB Sentral to Woodlands Train Checkpoint. As a bonus, little ones below 4 years old ride for free!

Step two, arrive early with enough time to clear customs and immigrations. It’s not a long process but it’s better to be safe than sorry when you miss your ride.

Step three, get comfy in your seats and wait for the train to whiz you pass the coast.
