Dear Partners,

 

Our 1st Update for October and we do have a couple of updates that we are eager to share. For new Partners – you may now view all Updates (starting 1st of September) from here.

 

Why am I writing the bi-weekly Updates?

 

I believe that BYKidO will not just be a listing sit but should work on a Partnership with each Partner. While the level of engagement for each Partner will be different and is dependent on Partner, I believe this approach will add more value to you, me and Parents who use BYKidO. So, the writing of Updates is to keep Partners updated on the success (or failure) of BYKidO and help to communicate our plans.

 

In all my initial meetings with Partners, I have stated my belief in a Triple Win. BYKidO will only succeed when we help our Partners to grow while providing our Parents a worthwhile reason to come to us.

How will each of the matrix help you?

 

  1. Partners and Promotions – this is key for BYKidO to remain attractive for Parents. We will need to maintain a certain number of Partners and Promotion to continue to be attract Parents. This will also mean more eyeballs for all Partners.
  2. Mailing List and Facebook Likes – the more we have, the wider our reach to promote for you. Let me take this opportunity to remind you that we are glad to promote any events or in-house promotions that you run.
  3. Pass Holders – these are people who are able to redeem your vouchers. The more we have, the more likely they will redeem your promotions due to the “spill-over’ effect across BYKidO Partners.

 

Summary of Update

 

  1. Work with us on any in-house events, promotions or Holiday programs, etc. We are able to help promote these via the following channels
    1. Content Marketing on Facebook and BYKIDO.COM
      1. These may be sent as email updates to our mailing list on a weekly basis
      2. Posted on Facebook and Facebook Ad boosted depending on relevancy to BYKidO’s theme
    2. Promoted as a “For All” Promotion
      1. Using the same voucher concept, these are promotions made available to Non BYKidO Pass Holders.
      2. Parents will normally pay a nominal fee for redeeming these promotions
    3. Run Events with us
      1. We run monthly events that brings Parents direct to you. Depending on the nature of your offering, we can work on Playdates, Group Trial Classes, Parenting Talks, etc
      2. We recently concluded our 1st event, a Playdate @ Busy Tables. The results were relatively successful; you may get more details below.
    4. BYKidO Giveaway
      1. We are running a giveaway starting from the 1st of October for anyone to get 1 Promotion Voucher for Free. More details below.
    5. Promoting BYKidO Passes
      1. We are available as a Staff Benefit on Deutsche Bank and is speaking to other Corporates
      2. We are working with Carpe Diem Preschool on complimentary Passes to their Parents

    1. Email Campaigns
      1. We sent a total of 1 email this month (2nd October) with an open rate of 17.4% (54 opens) and click rate of 3.9% (approx. 12 clicks).
      2. Emails are written to:
        1. Introduce New Partners / re-introduce existing Partners
        2. Promote our content marketing
        3. Promote Partners events or in-house promotions
          1. We will be promoting a number of Partners events in the coming weeks – Holiday Programs, Open Houses, etc.
          2. Do get in touch if you wish to promote anything in-house

 

  1. Content Marketing
    1. We post regular content on BYKIDO.COM and Facebook (Up to 3 Times a week)
    2. Topics covered are Places to go, Activities to Share, Promos to Share. Eg,
      1. Open Houses
      2. Promotions
      3. Group Trial Classes
  • We will be glad to write about your Events / Promotions as long as its relevant to the theme of Bring Your Kid Out
  1. Our Facebook Reach and Email list are as above. Event may be boosted by Facebook Ads if relevant to BYKidO’s theme.
  2. Contact me directly to discuss.

 

  1. Activities (Events) – we aim to host monthly events such as Play dates, Parenting Talks or Group Trial Classes.
    1. Events are aimed at driving offline and online traffic to your brand.
    2. Each events will require signup from BYKIDO.com, thus giving us insight into the participants that may be shared with you on request.
  • Recent Event
    1. Play Date @ Busy Tables (Thursday, 2.30 – 5pm)
      1. 11 pairs of Parent / Child attended the Play Date
      2. Event is a paid event for Busy Tables
      3. Facebook share from participants generated a good reach for both BYKidO and Busy Tables
      4. Event is considered relatively successful with a good turnout for a weekday. We also managed to get Parents to share / like / tag BYKidO and Busy Tables on relevant social media platforms.
      5. We have gotten queries to find out more about BYKidO and Busy Tables.

 

 

  1. Facebook Likes
    1. Partners Giveaways – we will also be conducting suitable Giveaways of Partners
      1. If you are keen to do a Giveaway, we will be able to do the Giveaway for you. Creative, Copywriting, Sharing, etc may be done by us.

 

  1. BYKidO Giveaways – each Giveaway has its own purpose
    1. Current Giveaway – 1 Free Promotion Vouchers (Celebrating 1,000 Likes)
      1. Anyone who registers on BYKIDO.COM may email us to get a Promotion Voucher of their choice.
      2. Purpose
        1. To help parents feel more comfortable about our platform and prove that we are a legit platform
        2. To help improve the take up rates of your Promotions.
      3. The Giveaway is limited till the 15th of October and promoted as a special giveaway for reaching 1,000 Likes on Facebook.

 

  1. BYKidO Pass Holders
    1. Preschools – we are contacting preschools to discuss promoting BYKidO Passes to their Parents
      1. Carpe Diem
        1. We have started to promote BYKidO to Carpe Diem Spottiswood. Parents of the school get a complimentary first time BYKidO Pass.
        2. An Emailer will be sent next week and Flyers placed in each child’s bag
        3. We are trying to start a conversation on having BYKidO introduced to the whole Carpe Diem Group (over 20 Schools)

 

  1. Corporate – We have started introducing BYKidO Passes as a Staff Benefit.
    1. Deutsche Bank – we are now on the Bank’s intranet and BYKidO’s offering will be email blast within the bank in the coming week.
    2. Others – we are in talks with other Corporates on similar arrangements

 

  1. Flyers and Decals
    1. Flyers and Decals are ready. If you are open to having our Flyers at your location or as part of any give away to your Parents, we will greatly appreciate it.

 

  1. Other Changes
    1. Collaborations – We have reached out to suitable platforms on collaborations and are in different stages of discussion with each of them. These collaborations should see us share resources and reach out more effectively to our target audiences.

 

  1. PR Efforts – we have engaged a PR / Events Company to organise an event early next year to give us visibility offline as well as in traditional media. We will provide more details when available.

 

  1. Redemptions – any redemptions will be updated to you directly via email.
    1. We are also working on removing the need for vouchers and having the verification integrated to the website. More details will follow.

    1. Continue to work with us – give BYKIDO more time to mature. While I appreciate our growth is slow, I strongly belief that it’s in the right direction.
    2. Introduce us to your customers – if there is no conflict of interest, we will appreciate if you share us with your customers and give them the opportunity to know more about us.
    3. Introduce us to anyone who might be keen to work with us – Partners, Collaborations, Preschools, Corporates, etc.
