Top 5 Farms to Bring Your Kids to when in Johor!

Leave your phones aside (unless you’re taking pictures), lace up a comfortable pair of shoes and set off to explore these 5 farms in Johor with your kids!
1. UK Farm
Location: Plot 8, Projek Pertanian Moden Kluang, KM 13, Jalan Batu Pahat, 86000 Kluang, Johor, Malaysia
Date: Daily
Hour: 9 am – 6 pm

Expect to be treated to the sight of goats and sheep aplenty at UK Farm Kluang as it’s known to be Malaysia’s largest goat and sheep farm. Since this is an actual farm and not just a tourist attraction, you’ll get to experience first-hand the process of feeding, milking and herding these cuddly little creatures. And if you time your visit right, you’ll be able to catch a flock of sheep grazing the meadow outside their pens!
At this vast farm, there is more than just goats and sheep. Take a walk near the passion fruit plantation, find out how milk is processed at the milk processing farm, feed farm animals like peacocks, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, hedgehog, and ducks at the mini zoo, and visit Jakun Village, the village of a tribe of indigenous people of Malaysia.
2. HS Farmstay

Leave the hubbub of the city life and immerse yourself in a carefree kampung lifestyle for a short while at HS Farmstay , where you can catch your dinner at the artificial pond with fresh water fish, venture into the Bee Park where you’ll get a personal view of honey extraction from bee hives, and meet porcupine, snake, marmosets, deer, horse, raccoon, peacock and sheep, the residents of the farm. Feel the breeze on your face as you cycle around the farm, splash around at the water park, uninhibited and bounce bounce at the children’s inflatable playground.
Scattered around the farm are majestic looking dinosaur replicas. While I’m not sure of their purpose, they definitely are a delightful addition, one that little ones are sure to love.
3. Star Fish Leisure Farm
Location: 81000 Kulai, Johor, Malaysia
Date: Wed – Mon (closed on Tue except public/school holiday)
Hour: 9 am – 5 pm

Break away from your monotonous city life and give leisurely rural life a try at Star Fish Leisure Farm . Say hi to lovely farm animals like rooster, goose and rabbit, and master the craft of fishing from real fishermen.
Rent a bicycle to enjoy a scenic ride around the farm, set aside your digital devices to try your hand at traditional board games, and set your tiny tots on an obstacles course. Don’t be fooled by its colourful appearance though, it is quite challenging, which is what makes it all the more fun.
4. Zenxin Organic Park
Location: 47A & 47B, Batu 9, Jalan Batu Pahat, Kluang, 86000 Kluang, Johor, Malaysia
Date: Mon - Sat (closed on Sunday)
Hour: 8 am - 5 pm
Admission: RM 38
A large organic farm of vegetables, herbs and fruits, little furry and furless creatures like rabbits, ducks and fishes, a flower nursery, a mushroom house, and a restaurant serving up organic dishes, can all be found at Zenxin Organic Park .
Head down to Zenxin Organic Park with your little ones to understand how food is grown and while you’re at it, befriend the little creatures around the farm, bottle-feed the fishes in the pond, test your focus at the archery range, and learn to imprint on a fabric with actual flowers.
Do note that all tours are currently on Saturdays only.
5. Sri Tanjung Leisure Farm

Sri Tanjung Leisure Farm is an open eco-farm park. Here, you can tour the oil palm plantation, discover more about pineapple and corn farming, visit goats in their pens and other farm animals like ducks, porcupine, turkeys, raccoon, ostriches, swans, horses, parrots, and deer. While the farm is small in scale, it is enough to keep you and your little humans occupied for hours.
