What is happening?

As you’re probably well aware from the myriad of events going on around our little red dot, this year, Singapore is celebrating its 200th year since Sir Stamford Raffles’s arrival. If you had to choose one event to attend, out of the myriad of events, we highly recommend exploring The Bicentennial Experience.

Time Traveller will bring you back not just 200 years but 700 years into the past to witness Singapore’s greatest milestones as she evolves from a small fishing village into the flourishing city that we live in today. With this 60-min immersive multimedia sensory programme, it’ll be like as though you’re experiencing the events first-hand.

From the days under the rule of Sang Nila Utama to the arrival of British and the emergence of industries to the Japanese occupation.

Also part of the From Singapore to Singaporean: The Bicentennial Experience is Pathfinder, a series of pavilions featuring artefacts, maps, flora and words which showcases Singapore’s place in the world across the centuries.

You can expect to see replicas of trading goods from the 14th to the 16th century found in and around Singapore, plants native to Singapore, an open-air library with stories of key historical figures among others, and more.
