Surf’s Up in Paradise! Is Singapore’s Largest Ever Balloon Display at Marina Square!

Be mesmerised by a scenic Hawaiian themed beachscape set against a picturesque splash of waves and breath-taking ocean creatures from 11 to 19 March.

Be transported to a sunny paradise from the 11th to 19th of March 2023 as Marina Square Shopping Mall’s iconic balloon exhibition bounces back with a bang at the mall’s Central Atrium after a 3-year hiatus. The much anticipated, signature event is held annually during the March school holidays!

Over 180,000 Balloons Across 6,500 Sqft

The 6,500 square foot central atrium is transformed into a Hawaiian-themed beachscape, bringing holiday joy to visitors through majestic balloon sculptures. Featuring the works of 46 talented balloon artists hailing from Singapore, China, Spain, Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Indonesia, 180,150 balloons made from 100% all natural latex and completely bio-degradable, will be sculpted over the span of 4 days to create a whole new dimension.

Supporting the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund

Families will find a balloon booth selling adorable balloon sculptures at the central atrium. Marina Square and professional Balloonist Ms Lily Tan have committed to donate portion of the proceeds garnered from balloon sales to the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (STSPMF), a community project started by the Straits Times to provide pocket money to children from low-income families.

The mall’s owner Singapore Land Group Limited (SingLand) has also pledged $60,000 in support of the cause, as part of its corporate initiative SingLand Elevates and in celebration of the Group turning 60 this year.

Get Your Cameras Ready

Imagine a 30-metre long beach, with sea and surf brought to life through balloons. Check out the surfers riding waves ranging from 1.6-metre to 3-metre tall or take a deep dive with captivating sea creatures.

Adorable dolphins, colourful fishes, sea turtles, octopus, and even an eye-popping shark, these balloon figurines welcome you to participate in “aloha” of fun this March school holidays.

At the center of the attraction is a larger-than-life 13-metre tall Pineapple House. Step in for an immersive experience of a spectacular display of neon glow balloons within.

Try Surfing on Land

Timing: Fri – Sun: 1pm – 9pm & Mon – Thu: 2pm – 8pm
Fees: $5

Adventurous ones can hop onto a wave surfer simulator to experience surfing without getting wet. Enjoy 2 minutes of fun surfing at $5 per ride. Shoppers who manage to ride the wave beyond the 2 minutes mark will get to continue the experience with gradually increasing difficulty up to 4 minutes!

Burst A Balloon To Win

Fees: Present a shopping receipt of $20* spend and pay $5 to play

Shoppers can pop a balloon at the sure-win Dart Balloon game booth to win prizes such as $42 NERF Action Xperience admission passes, $20 Time Zone Gift Cards, and other attractive products such as plushies, toys, thongs and pouches, yummy snacks and food vouchers.

Learn To Sculpt A Balloon Sea Creature

Timing: 11, 12, 18 & 19 March, 3 pm - 4.30 pm
Fees: $20 per parent and child

Parents can seize the opportunity to learn how to sculpt an adorable sea creature with their child (4 years and above) in a 1.5-hour long Balloon Workshop. Sign up at the Customer Service Counter for $20 per parent and child team. With limited seats available per session, seats will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis.
