Where else will you find playgrounds with an impressive range of swings, crazy slides and larger-than-life grasshoppers, but in the north of Singapore? If sliding down a giant grasshopper and commanding a battleship seems like your kind of fun, we’ve got just what you need.

Here’s a guide to some of the best playgrounds you can find in the north and by north, we mean the neighbourhoods of Admiralty, Woodlands, Sembawang, and Yishun!

And if you know of any playgrounds in the north that’s not listed here, do share them with us!

It’s quite hard to miss the large bright butterfly with its ‘wings’ spread wide open at the tranquil Marsiling Park. Rather than insect parts, this butterfly is made up of cargo nets perfect for little climbers. Don’t be disappointed about not being able to see an actual butterfly for, the playground is nearby a Butterfly Corner. If you’re lucky, you might just catch these colorful insects fluttering about!

Aside from the Butterfly Playground, Marsiling Park is also home to two other playgrounds—one is made up of a ropes obstacle course and the other, in addition to the standard play structure with slides, has a line-up of musical instruments. You can join in with your little ones to drum up a storm with the hand drums and xylophone!
