This year, National Museum of Singapore is ringing in Christmas through the spirit of giving and they’re inviting you to join in! Listen to a tale about giving in an online storytelling session by Roger Jenkins and sing along to Christmas tunes. Also, discover the secrets of making a traditional Eurasian Christmas pie and try your hand at making your own!

If you’re on the look-out for hands-on activities to engage your little ones in, Mr Bottle’s Kids Party, a one-stop party solutions provider, is offering a Christmas Art & Craft Set. With the kit, you’ll get to build and decorate your very own craft house! Once completed, you can even use it as a nightlight! 

Do note that the price is inclusive of normal mail delivery, for door-to-door delivery, an additional $5 fee is applicable.

Ring in this Christmas with stories filled with kindness, generosity and the joy of Christmas! Following the success of TLC Classic Stories in the recent TLC Children’s Festival, The Little Company is now bringing their classics storytelling live for you! The special Christmas edition will be starring Julie Wee (Shakespeare in the Park – Julius CaesarThe Tempest). 

Join Santa’s little helper, Elf Julie as she recounts tales of a grumpy dwarf who turns out to be a kind soul, a baker who discovers the joy of giving generously and a wonderful adventure with Santa Claus on Christmas eve! 

TLC Classic Christmas Stories has integrated descriptive language of key visual moments into its script for blind and vision-impaired patrons. Also, all performances offer a relaxed environment as a standard which caters to children and adults on the autism spectrum and with learning difficulties. 

Additionally, there will be a signed performance on Sunday, 20 Dec at 2 pm, to cater for deaf or hearing-impaired patrons.

4. Storytelling Series by Gateway Kids Club

Every month, Gateway Kids Club presents Storytelling Series, bringing a new story every week through SISTIC Live Stream. This month, in celebration of the festive season, they will be bringing you The Nutcracker by E.T.A Hoffman, which follows the adventures of young Clara in the magical Kingdom of Sweets, and The Star of Bethlehem, a retelling of the nativity story from the perspective of a star.

The denizens over at Universal Studios Singapore are ready to bring the festive cheer to you during this year-end holidays. Illumination’s Minions have ditched their overalls for something more Christmassy and they’ll be spreading some ‘despicable cheer’ from the Christmas stage! 

Step into interactive movie scenes over at the whimsical Christmas movie land where Santa is the director and catch Shrek and Princess Fiona, as well as Poppy and Branch from DreamWorks’ Trolls as they walk down the red carpet to give fans a star-studded meet-and-greet!

Also, don’t miss your chance to meet Gru, Lucy and the girls from Illumination’s Despicable Me, the fuzzy friends from Sesame Street - Elmo, Cookie Monster and Abby Cadabby, as well as the wild characters from Madagascar.

6. SEAASON of Rediscovery at S.E.A. Aquarium

This holidays, S.E.A. Aquarium invites you to experience a SEAASON of Rediscovery! You’ll get to re-discover the aquarium which has been transformed with specially designed light effects and fascinating soundscapes. 

Head to new zones like ‘Shipwrecked!’, where you’ll see how a ship’s end of service leads to the birth of a thriving new habitat. Gently touch sea animals like the epaulette shark and the knobbly sea star at the Discovery Pool and expand your knowledge. 

Make a trip to the habitat of brightly coloured poison arrow frogs to learn how the ocean is interlinked with the rainforest. 

Also, learn about Christmas-themed animals—the bright-and-beautiful angelfish, snowflake moray eels, pinecone fish, scarlet skunk cleaner shrimps that look just like candy canes, and more—while you’re at the aquarium!

Flower Dome’s well-loved annual floral display, Poinsettia Wishes returns this year, bringing a slice of European-holiday cheer to the tropics. Admire a reimagined Gouda City Hall, an iconic landmark in the Netherlands visited by many for an annual Christmas light-up, decked with nutcracker dolls that resemble toy soldiers. Spot the mischievous nisses from Nordic folklore amongst the Christmas trees, poinsettias, cyclamens, hellebores and other festive favourites.

To make the season of giving even more meaningful, the illustrated Plantkeepers of the Bay characters will share tips and tricks on how to celebrate the festivities sustainably! 

You can also look forward to a slew of festive programs such as meet-and-greet sessions with Santa & his friends, performances by local and inclusive acts, as well as programmes involving the four Nordic Embassies in Singapore – The Royal Danish Embassy, Embassy of Finland, Royal Norwegian Embassy, and the Embassy of Sweden – including a traditional Swedish Lucia Procession (13 Dec) right here in Singapore!

Christmas Wonderland 2020 introduces Christmas celebrations in a hybrid format. This seventh edition of the festive event will feature specially curated stunning light installations in brand new designs, including the Spalliera, Path of Tranquility, Cassa Armonica and more at Gardens by the Bay in the Walk of Lights, a one-way scenic route with designated entry and exit points. 

Complementing the physical display is an online digital wonderland packed with interactive content, games for all ages, festive performances, and retail options.
