Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) has lined up an array of programmes, catered to both the young and not-so-young.

Located by the Singapore River is the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM), Singapore’s national museum of Asian antiquities and decorative art and the only museum in Asia devoted to exploring the rich artistic heritage of Asia. 

It regularly hosts programmes and exhibitions to inspire both the young and old. Here's what you and your family can look forward to in April 2024, and beyond:

New Programmes

Lunchtime Concerts at ACM

Venue: Asian Civilisations Museum
Date: 5, 12 & 19 Apr 2024

Fee: Free admission 

Welcome back to another season of Lunchtime Concerts at ACM! Enjoy the sounds of strings, brass, piano and voice in this series of free concerts. Devote your lunch hour to classical music on selected Fridays in April, brought to you in collaboration with the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music. 

ACM Conversations: Chris Hall: A Collector’s Journey 

Venue: Ngee Ann Auditorium, Asian Civilisations Museum
Date: 20 Apr 2024
Time: 3pm to 4.30pm
Fee: Free admission (registration with a $10 refundable deposit is required)

Renowned textile collector Chris Hall discusses his approach to collecting and his work with cultural institutions around the world. He will be joined in conversation by ACM Director Kennie Ting. 

ACM Adventures: Tell Me a Story

Join us this month as we explore objects with meaningful stories through an interactive drama performance and a storytelling session. Then, tell your own story through an art-making activity.

ACM Adventures: Totally Turtle

What has a hard shell and spends time on both land and water? Visit the Islamic Art Gallery and see if you can spot this interesting object on display. Enjoy a drama performance and a storytelling session in the galleries. Then, get crafty and make your own miniature zoomorphic kettle!

ACM Adventures: Let’s get Groovy

Put on some music and let’s groove to the beat! Watch and dance along to a fun-filled drama performance of a story inspired by the dancing Ganesha. Then, get creative and decorate your own magical dancing shoes!

Children’s Season at ACM: Curious & Wonderful
