If you leave in the Sembawang area (or even if you do not), you might be interested to visit the Warship Playground located @ Sembawang Park!
What is the Playground about?
The playground is shaped like a broken Warship which sits in the middle of a sand pit. Visually, it looks like a beached shipwreck waiting to be explored!
There are ropes, poles, slides and nets for lots of climbing and jumping. The older ones will definitely enjoy exploring the ship while the younger ones may enjoy themselves playing in the sand!
If you are concern about being dirty, do not worry as there are washing areas located nearby too!
What else is there to do?
Since the Warship is located within Sembawang Park, it is also a wonderful place to bring the kids for a run or even a picnic with the playground as a secondary objective! You could even book a BBQ Pit for a Saturday Picnic!
Your kid might even get excited spotting the army personnel patrolling the area (since its in the vicinity of the Sembawang Wharves).
How to get there?
If you are driving, do not turn in to the carpark upon seeing the Sembawang Park sign (as we did), but drive down further to Car Park 1. The Playground is nearer to the Car Park 1.
You may also take Bus 882 and alight in front of the Car Park 1.
We also spotted several bikes in the area, its quite a nice park for some leisure biking too!
